    I love Battle Royale and refuse to watch this shite on he basis that everything I've read and heard about it indicates very strongly that it is just some teeny-bopper rip off.

    That's common for book adaptations. I really, really enjoyed Children of Men until I made the grave error of reading the book. not only is the book completely different, it is also much, much better, which has ruined my enjoyment of the film entirely.

    I like Battle Royale....The Hunger Games is a better story but the violence is very PG-13...maybe even PG...I wish Hollywood would make an american version of Battle Royale..but they will either make it too tame and shitty..or they will give it to Tarantino or Rodriguez and turn into in some child homoerotic kill bill, mash in with some Resevoir...with some Pulp...
