The Jeff Fenech Appreciation Thread

The McCrory fight is interesting to me; I read about Fenech's issues making weight and have always wanted to watch the fight and never got around to it until today.
Maybe McCrory didn't have a choice about fighting inside but if the plan was to fight that way, I understand why. If you watch Fenech you see a guy that pushes his punches, squares up way too much, leans in head first, throws arm punches with his chin in the air. He's right there to be hit with uppercuts and when he square up you can time his right hand.

And McCrory did all of those things, certainly shook Fenech once and got his attention a couple other times. But I'm sure that he would tell you that Fenech is much easier to hit when you watch him fight someone else than it is to do it when you are the one fighting him.
When he gets in close he isn't pushing those body shots and uppercuts; he's shoving them, if you see the difference I am trying to convey. And he will use his head, shoulders and elbows to put you where he wants you to be. And when he gets room his punches may be all arms and shoulders but he is strong and he throws them vigorously.
