    To me Tarantino's like a creative sampler, digging up dusty old things up and recontextualising & splicing them imaginatively with a big wink to everyone who 'gets' it. This was more like noel gallagher - just lazily rip off your most famous predecessors wholesale, keep the same aesthetic, instrumention, beat, production....just rejig the melody, call it something different & sell it to daft kids who dont know any better.

    Joker 10/10 is right up there with:
    • "Avatar is the best movie of the 21st Century"
    • "Legend: The Best of Bob Marley & The Wailers is a classic album...probably his best"

    Joker was either a 5.5 or 6/10 in my book.

    Meaning JUST above average, but not by much. It was very underwhelming given the hype.

    The only 10/10 movie I've seen this year is Parasite.

    I have yet to see 1917.
