isn't that enough considering it was the last time Floyd was in the ring?

Could be the beginning of a trend like Joey Crawford referring Lebron games.

I'm sure Mayweather didn't want Tony Weeks. Weeks did Mayweather's fight with Cotto and his first fight with Maidana. Both were rough fights considering Weeks let them fight.

Smoger also would've put his arms around each fighter's waist, pulled them close to his fat little body and told them "I love you guys... You two sexy belters get ready to mix it up"

Yeah it's kinda like having a judge who scored the last mayweather who scored the last Mayweather fight 118:100 for him, despite Floyd losing most of the rounds. Not saying that did happen, but if it did, even if that was the judges first bad call I wouldn't want him judging his next fight.

Mickey Vann used to basically do the dishes and hoovering around at Ricky Hattons then referee his fights for him too.

Afterwards, Mickey would wash the sweat off Rickys balls and pour his drinks and cut his coke for him.

mayweather jr probably didnt veto weeks after the cotto fight because he did a decent job and no one could complain. weeks clearly had an agenda against mayweather jr in the first maidana fight. the guy was fouling a lot and weeks said or did nothing.

Did they take a look outside the african american ref community or was it like "damn ok not Weeks, it's Kenny's job then"?

True. That's the glaring deficiency Floyd's style has against southpaws....the straight left.

Again, with the height and reach in Floyd's favor I just can't see Manny getting there enough to beat him. Yes Manny has good footspeed and movement etc. I think that will work to his detriment.

If I'm Floyd, as soon as I see Manny start that bouncing shit I'm sticking my jab out because I know when he's bouncing up and down he sure as shit isn't coming forward. So I'm jabbing him as soon as I see that. Initially I might jab to the head to blind him. If I want to throw a hard right hand that jab's going to his chest to get him moving backward or off balance then I'm throwing a hard right hand behind the jab.

Yes Manny has gotten to taller fighters with longer reaches but none of them had the timing nor ability to judge and break distance like Floyd. None of them had the reflexes of Floyd. So while Manny could dictate when he came in on those guys, Floyd's not having any of that shit.

I expect Floyd to use his jab to keep Manny out, tie him up when Manny gets in (we know Bayless won't allow Manny to stay inside on Floyd very long) then as the fight goes on it's Potshot City for Floyd. Lead rights, check hooks all of that will work. Manny won't have a choice but to come to Floyd and just like Floyd got Hatton or Holyfield caught Tyson coming in...Manny gets done.

That's how I see the fight playing out.

The "ONLIEST" way (© Muhammad Ali) I see Manny winning is by one massive shot Floyd can't recover from. Outside of that I can't forsee a way he outboxes Floyd. I keep referencing the Tarver-Jones KO and size differential because Jones didn't make a mistake when he got KO'd. Tarver's height and reach coupled with the way straight left's come in allowed him to catch Roy on the sweet spot.

Tarver didn't have to over reach or jump in with the shot. Floyd has a 5 inch reach advantage. Think of how much distance Manny would have to travel in order to get close enough to land a comparable shot to the one Tarver landed. Floyd rarely makes defensive mistakes so Manny will need a perfect set of circumstances to land the home run shot.

God I hope I'm wrong, but I just can't see a path to victory for Manny outside a one hitter quitter.

Note: See Marquez feinting to the body, Pac goes straight back...overhand right comes over the top. Floyd can fight going forward or backward...Manny can only fight coming forward.

Manny's best shot is early. Floyd takes time to figure out his opponents, and we've seen him hurt or wobbled early against guys with good handspeed (Judah, Corley, Mosley - Judah & Corley being southpaws). Manny is a fast starter, too. If the one hit quit comes, it's going to be in the first 3 rounds. Past 3 rounds, Floyd is going to be mopping the floor with Pac.

How many were available? Made a big deal out of the arena tickets selling out in a minute but there were less than 1,000 available.

Agreed. Floyd has a very good chin, he's even taken heavy enough shots at 154 with little to no effect. I don't think Pacquiao punches hard enough at 147 to really hurt him.

Pacquiao's best shot is a high energy, high workrate fight, just outwork Floyd and beat him on points.

    Yup and I'll add....

Manny only wins if Floyd helps him. In other words....Floyd has to fight the only fight that he can lose, hang on the ropes and play rope-a-dope. In the middle of the ring Pacquiao has no chance.
