Unlike Max who sincerely belives 99% of the shit he comes out with.

 

Hard to think of many other modern trilogies where the three fights were so radically different from each other.

 

Winstone ended his trilogy with Saldivar by KO loss, having gone 2 tight decisions beforehand.

Ward-vs-Gatti and Castillo vs Corrales obz have no resemblance.

Harding vs Andries has a few similarities.........in reverse, if you will.

The main problem is that Wilder didn't win any of the fights and the essence of most trilogies is that one guy wins at least one

 

Winstone's losses to Saldivar weren't tight. Saldivar gave poor Winstone a beating down the stretch. Their rematch was one of the greatest featherweight fights ever though.

Saldivar was a fucking machine.
