You're grimacing through the whole second half and wishing for the fucking thing to end asap like anyone else. As a viewing experience the whole 7 hours or whatever it is is either boring or physically unpleasant.

Pinocchio - The Tale of a Clogg who one day wants to become a real boy. Works as both a metaphor for the travails of the working class man, and a satire of modern culture mired in Randian class ideologies. Through the pure stubbornness of will and the determination to keep typing, the Clogg is eventually able to affect change in society on a microscopic level by convincing the denizens of an obscure boxing fansite, to join him in his journey.

Alas, it is a bittersweet end, when the Clogg, eventually becoming a real boy...realizes the only thing remaining for his now organic body to subsist on in this brave new world he has created, are various types of aged cheeses.

    10/10

Honestly, a score of a 3 for deer hunter is a banable offense.

Its more enjoyable to watch, yes. Dunno who you guys are trying to impress pretending you enjoyed watching a 90m drunken wedding where nothing happens then people being tortured and murdered for another 90m.

Is called DRAMA! You don't need to have 'fun' with it to appreciate a good drama.

I think you have to enjoy a movie for it to be called enjoyable.

I think your view of movies and how one should enjoy it, is just different. I could watch a movie and be completely upset by it and just fucked up for days and really just not have an enjoyable time. But I could still label the movie excellent. Not saying your way is wrong. You enjoy what you want to enjoy, i was just kidding with that thread man.

    talhotblond (documentary) 7.5/10

An enjoyable, fast paced documentary dealing with a bizarre internet love triangle that ended up in a brutal murder. I'd give it a higher rating but the filmmaker made a horrendous gaffe by having the film narrated from the perspective of the man who was murdered, adding an incredibly cheesy "I know who killed me" vibe to what was otherwise a fine piece of investigative journalism. If you are ever feeling down about yourself, watch this film because there is no way you are as pathetic as these three people (especially the two still alive)

The funny thing is my first thought was that he was using the "Panchy" movie rating method. Not only does he rate Deer Hunter a 3 and claim it's crap, but he says he enjoyed Fifty First Dates but only gave it a one point difference. And in all honesty, if Deer Hunter isn't one of the most overrated pieces of cinema ever... I actually was more annoyed by giving a master piece like 50 First Dates a score of 4. Finally I don't think I've ever given a movie a score of 2. If a movie is that bad, I've usually turned it off and rated it as AVM (abort viewing material).

Runaway jury - 6/10. Anything with Hackman and Hoffman in it gets at least a 6 but i cant really give it more

Blood Ties - 7/10. Pretty good movie. I woulda rated it higher, but Clive Owens' NY accent is the worst I've ever heard in my life. SOOOO bad it was comical.

Clive Owen is NOT Gary Oldman, Christian Bale, or Idris Elba when it comes to imitating an American accent.

    Yup.
I watched that same documentary some time ago and all these internet lovebirds are just pathetic, but the woman of this real life story is a poor excuse of a human being.

I heart huckerbies 5/10. Pretty queer. But Dustin Hoffman is always worth a couple of points.

This idea is retarded. Movies should have separate threads. If I wanna see if someone watched a specific movie I gotta read through 170 pages? Gtfo. How about just one thread only in talk about anything forum? Let's call it "what's on your mind" or one in the boxing forum called "boxing discussion" again..gtfo
