American Gangster isnt a classic, but its a million times better than shitty ass Saw 4! P2 looks too crappy for me to even bother with.

3:10 TO YUMA - 9/10 - Good western action drama. I recommend it. A rancher agrees to escort an outlaw (Crowe) to a town to catch a train that will take the outlaw to prison. The rancher has to contend with indians, Crowe's gang, and vengeful victims of Crowe, as well as Crowe himself who isn't going to go quietly. I thought the ending got a little far fetched but it didn't totally detract from the movie and it was still a good ending.
    Rewatchability - 5/5

WAR - 5.5/10 - Not a big Jet Li fan nor a big fan of these kinds of movies but it was watchable and full of action. Jet li plays a hitman and he kills people, Jason Stataham is the cop who's trying to find him and avenge his partner who Li killed. Not much kung fu in this movie as it has more swords and gun fights.
    Rewatchability - 3/5

TRANSAMERICA - 8/10 - Not a movie I'd normally watch, but it was either this or sit through Fracture again. Anyway, it was good as far as chick flick dramas go. A transvestite is about to get her dick turned inside out when she finds out she had a son from some chick she banged when she was a man in college. So she goes to meet the son and stuff happens. It's a touching movie.
    Rewatchability - 3/5

    I saw Saw 1 and 3.

After seeing 3, I have no interest in seeing 4, which is supposed to be the worst of the series

    No Country for Old Men

The villain Javier Bardem puts on a great performance, the acting was good all around and well shot and well made. I guess they made it this way because of the book, but there was too much dialogue that sort of just went off from the storyline, and the conclusion was dissapointing.

If you like the Coen brothers though I definitely reccommend it.

THE SIMPSONS MOVIE - 7.5/10 - Pretty good and pretty funny. I enjoyed it as much as I do any other Simpsons episode and laughed about as much as well, and that is the problem. The movie fails to separate itself from being anything other than a 1&1/2 hour long version of the show. That’s enough to satisfy but not impress. If you’re a Simpsons fan there is no reason not to watch this movie, just don’t expect anything special from it.

Great movie, and yes, Javier Bardem was awesome (already one of cinema's greatest screen villains), he should win Best Supporting Actor.

I also thought that Josh Brolin did a really good job.

PLANET EARTH (THE SERIES) - 5/10 - Definitely an overrated show IMO. I got the first two discs from netflix and after watching the first one I came away rather unimpressed. Like someone on here mentioned, visually it’s beautiful and it even holds your attention. However, as far as animal documentaries go I’ve seen much more interesting ones just flipping channels. The main problem here is this isn’t an animal documentary show, it’s just what it says it’s about: Planet earth. It talks about deserts, mountains, oceans etc. and you learn a lot of stuff you didn’t know, but the animals come secondary. So if you come on here expecting a great animal documentary you’ll likely be disappointed. The pacing is slow and even the few moments they do spend with animals is so brief you feel like you only got half of the story. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

In a nutshell - To understand how much I truly didn’t care for this series, I watched 1 segment of the 2nd disc, wrapped it back up and returned it to netflix without finishing it.

    Rewatchability - 2/5

Saw "Beowulf" on a 3D IMAX screen today. Sure it's campy and a little bit homoerotic like "300" but on the 3D IMAX screen it's completely bad-ass.

The first 15-20 minutes is awesome and Grendal has to be the creepiest animated character I've ever seen on the screen.

I really don't know how they avoided an R rating on this one. I guess you can show as much violence as you want as long as you don't swear or show a black ladies nipples. :dunno:

Oh, and Angelina Jolie is flawless in animated form. First cartoon in awhile to give me wood.

However, to be honest I'm not sure how high I would be on this if I saw it on a normal screen.

THE NAMESAKE - 8.5/10 - One of those dramas that can't really be explained by reading the preview or watching the trailer. Basically it's just the story of an east Indian family that moved to america. The wife struggles with her conflict of traditions and the son struggles with being a typical american boy while forceably ignoring his heritage. A good movie.
Rewatchability - 5/5 - I could easily sit through this movie again.

RUSHHOUR 3 - 7/10 - Just as good as the others even though that's not saying much. I was never a big fan of these and have only seen each of them once. Things can get a bit ridiculous and far fetched for the sake of comedy but overall it's an enjoyable movie if you don't take it too seriously.
Rewatchability - 4/5 - It was good enough to sit through again.
