No, it was only 3 but that number represents the maximum fingers Osfan has left on his 1 remaining hand.

Don't get me wrong. I wasn't saying it's shit and DMS is a much better version. I enjoyed NCFOM for what it was, but . . . it just wasn't THAT great. It was decent. The actor playing the psycho delivered an unnerving portrayal. But the movie as a whole simply meandered too much.

It's not based on the same story. Check it out on amazon.

Ortho - yeah, it's the film with those two guys in. Great film.

I've already seen it. Its the sort of film you should watch on a Sunday night when you are due up early the next morning. Adds to the tension. Its an amazingly simple flick in loads of ways, simple set, simple countryside setting, simple Citroen......and the guy is just relentless in his approach. I love the bit where he shows his wacked out "mate" the dead guy in the suitcase, and they are whispering......

But I fail to see how it is really like NCFOM.....apart from the human relentlessness of the killer.

I just think it's a similarly paced film, and also has a killer who's a bit of a nutjob.

BUT there's more story and emotion to Dead Man's Shoes.

You can almost feel empathy with the nutter.

Ultimately, NCFOM was an enjoyable movie which i watched impassively.

Dead Man's Shoes had a strong emotional side too it, as well as being a great movie.

Anton Chigurh was a psycho who killed for the most obscure of reasons.

the dude in DMS had a specific list of victims and killed them for a specific reason.

That said there is a similarity in their relentless impeccable nature. You just knew their prospective victims were sitting ducks.

I haven't seen Dead Man's Shoes, but it sounds like if you like DMS, you would like that one as well.

Done. Sorry...don't visit this thread too often.

To answer the question: I enjoyed them both. They were as good as each other.

Ha ha! This really is a new low.

So, i was banned from there on Friday?

here's my take: sick of being absolutely schooled in every football 'discussion' we've had over in the football thread, you've come up with this.

Very original though, i have to concede that.

Didn't like it all that much.
