THE GOLDEN COMPASS - 2/10 - Shit was pretty boring and the only reason I didn't stop watching it and give it a score of incomplete (the worst possible score) was because I had friends over and couldn't just kill it with them watching. Anyway, like I said the movie started out boring and stayed that way. There were a few cool scenes, (pretty much all of them included the polar bears) but basically it's one of the worst fantasy films I've seen in a while. What's really bad is the fact that this looks like another film that is going to try to cash in on trilogyism. Don't know for sure but there will definitely be a sequel and the way the movie looks it seems like this whole movie was just a business and the trilogy aspect feels so forced.
    Rewatchability - 0/5
    Hollywood racist moment -
As usual, there are no blacks in the fantasy world.

CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR - 7.5/10 - Pretty good drama that tells a good bit of history. Hanks did a pretty good job but I think he played a character that doesn't have the kind of character that you can really dive into. Philip Seymore Hoffman on the other hand gave another very good performance playing the more over the top character. This one's mostly a talk heavy drama so if that isn't your cup of tea maybe you should steer clear. Overall I liked it, but it wasn't the best drama in the world.
    Rewatchability - 2.5/5
Hollywood racist moment - Only remember 1 black guy in the movie and that was the rich ladies butler. I guess she wanted to feel like she had a slave.

Hard Candy - The chick from Juno gets revenge on a guy she thinks is a pedeophile. Excellent performance and a pretty good flick.

Was Gillian Anderson in that movie too? I remember she played the neighbor or something, a small role.

I don't know who she is. But that Asian Canadian from that hospital show played the neighbour.

Yup, she had like 2 lines and that's it. It was basically a 2 person movie.

Diary Of The Dead -- 4/10

This movie chronicles a group of college students in PA being chased by zombies. A few spots are pretty funny (Like when they took shelter at an old Amish guy's farm) but in general is very flat. Osfan didnt pay for this movie, just sneak in and watch the whole thing. One thing though, the zombies in this movie move pretty fast, some of them can compete in track and field events, amazing.

The first Batman was a 40s movie serial, and then the 60s show...and THEN the Keaton/Nicholson flick.

King of Kong - A documentary about the two best Donkey Kong players facing off for the highest score. Despite the stupid premise, the movie was actually pretty damn good! Honestly one of the better movies that I have seen lately 9/10

    Here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPLjXjObEms

Are you kidding?! I spent millions in arcades as a kid and don't regret a single minute of it. That was part of growing up, back when you could always count on the malls of america to have at least 1 arcade, the same way you could count on corner stores and gas stations to have a comic book rack. Those my friend were the good ol days.

GONE BABY, GONE - 7/10 - Pretty solid drama, you could feel their'd be a twist from the start and some of you really smart fella's will probably figure it out. The acting was pretty good and so was the movie but some things just seemed to unrealistic and forced to me. Anyway it was a good movie and is worth checking out. You hear some people comparing this to Mystic River but to me MR is easily the better movie, it doesn't come off as forced as this one does IMO.
    Rewatchability - 3/5
Racist Hollywood moment - They cast the really dark brother as a drug dealer. Talk about cliche'.
