Same here. I'm also looking forward to seeing the new Hulk movie (which has an appearance by Robert Downey as Tony Stark). I didn't see the most recent one but I heard that Eric Bana can't act his way out of a paper bag. Ed Norton is a step up to say the least.

The train wreck that was the first Hulk had nothing to do with Bana.

Lars And The Real Girl: Ryan Gosling plays an intoverted, troubled 27 year old who's so lonely he orders a sex doll and makes it his girlfriend. Very good movie, meant to be a comedy but more of a drama... but an excellent performance by Gosling. 8.5/10

He's good in just about everything he's ever been in, IMO.

I think Bana is one of the better actors in the game, right now.

I watched a movie that was so fucking bad...

... I was going to sit down and write a letter to the director to tell him what a fucking piece of shit his film was. But I found out he was already dead. What made it worse is I actually ordered three movies from that director off Amazon. I watched two and they were the two biggest pieces of shit I've ever seen in my life. Now I have one more to watch but needless to say I'm not too enthused about it. I have always been a fan of British independent films but this shit is making me second guess myself. I only watch about five movies a year. Complete fucking waste of time. :shit:

The film was called "The Firm" directed by Allan Clarke. For someone who likes to direct violent films the fight scenes looked ridiculously gay. I was waiting for them to break out in song and dance at one point. And the "hooligans" in the movie looked softer than shit. Totally unrealistic. The other one was a 28 minute film called "Elephant" and it's just people in Northern Ireland getting shot. Seriously, there's no story line, just people walking around Belfast shooting other people. The only saving grace was I got a blowjob from my gf during that fucking abortion of a movie.

The third one I haven't watched yet is called "Made In Britain" with Tim Roth. Like I said, after the first two horror shows, I'm not really excited about the third one.

A very straightforward good guys vs bad guys storyline, no hidden biblical messages. The grand finale battle scene actually took a page out of LOTR: Return of the King, kind of anti-climatic, feels like something being recycled again.

That's how I felt when I saw the first one. It felt forced, like they were trying too hard to be the next fantasy trilogy. I also found it boring as shit and will not watch the rest of them.

    GRADE - C

PREMISE - A Harvard med student who doesn't have enough money to go to college gets invited to join a group of students who go to Vegas every weekend and clean up by counting cards.

CRITIQUE - Just another formulaic movie that cares more about making a buck rather than making a good story. This movie had so much potential but I think the Hollywood writers are just mailing it in these days. Even though it kept my interest, as I was watching it I was thinking this movie is a C all the way.

BLUEPRINT USED - 2 For the Money with Al Pacino. They basically used the same blueprint only it was Kevin Spacey who played the mentor/college professor and just like with Pacino, Spacey starts off seeming like a great guy until money issues show you his true nature. And just like in 2FTM the lead guy gets power happy and starts screwing up.

POSITIVE NOTE - Fishburne. His role as the head security guy who was slowly being worked out of the industry by a new camera system was one of the few pluses of the film.

HOLLYWOOD RACIST MOMENT - The fact that this is based on a true story where all the student players were asian and the fact that Hollywood had to whiten it up so much.

    10,000 B.C

    GRADE - C-

PREMISE - Mammoth eating cave clan have their people snatched by some bad guys. The main guy's love interest is taken and he and a few others try to get them all back by going on a long quest to find them.

CRITIQUE - Like most movies these days this had great potential but bad production, directing, and writing killed it. Geez, that's the whole foundation of a movie right there. Oh yeah, it did have good CGI which IMO seems to be the downfall of most movies these days. Still it wasn't a terrible story, it just could have been so much better.

RIPS OFF - Apocalypto. I mean you could have named this movie "Apoclypto PG13 featuring CGI beasts".

21 was a much better movie than Two For The Money. T4TM sucked balls! It has to be Pacino's worst movie(along with 88 Minutes). Spacey & Fishburne's acting made 21 a decent movie. But none could save T4TM.

    Narnia:
    7 out of 10
Same as the last movie, really, but this time, you just can't get into the story. Are they against Caspian or with him? I don't know, cause they flip flopped like four times on that one. The characters weren't very likeable, and that's a big failure considering that they were likable just one movie ago. 7 is being very generous, because everything else about the movie is still pretty good.

    Forgetting Sarah Marshall:
    4 out of 10
Overrated. People actually thought this was good? Give me a break. It gets a 4 because of the girl from the 70's show. She looks fantastic in the movie. Their "jokes" were bland and you saw them coming from a mile away. What is the f'n deal with "comedies" being love stories? Only this one had two love stories in it! How terrible!!! Here's the premise for virtually every comedy movie these days.
    First Half: Funny
Second Half: Love twist turns the movie into a regular old love story.

After his girl leaves him, they show him banging a bunch of different chicks. They should have ended the movie there. And that was like 10 minutes into it. It's closer to reality, funny, and a good way to go out.

    Indiana Jones:
    8/10
Just got back from watching it, and I was surprised. I thought it was good. I had a fun time watching it. I was never a big fan of the series, so I didn't get the nostalgic stuff out of it. My beef was with what they were searching for. They made it seem significant without knowing what the hell it was. Then, what it turned out to be and how the movie ended was pretty cheezy, and even I could tell it wasn't very Indian Jones-esque. Still, I had fun with it.

I really enjoyed this movie. Excellent script writing allowed Afleck to steal the show. His character was superb I thought. Good storyline, somewhat believable plot, right amount of twists and turns. Only Morgan Freeman's character holds it back. Has he EVER played a challenging role?

    Match Point - 10 / 10

One of the very best movies of the last few years.

First off, it features Scarlett Johansson at her absolute sexiest and most seductive (and that's saying a lot! :eeeek:).

If that isn't reason enough to give it a "10", it also has a great story, very realistic characters/situations, and a great twist at the end.

What really amazes me about this movie is how it defies classification. It has elements of a romantic drama, a comedy, and a crime/mystery, and yet it never quite commits itself to any one genre. Credit for that goes to director Woody Allen, who somehow manages to maintain a sort of "light hearted" tone throughout the movie, despite what are really some very shocking and violent scenes. I don't think any other director could have pulled that off... truly amazing!

What a terribly underrated movie this was. It was basically snubbed at the Oscars a few years back (other than a single nomination for Best Screenplay, I believe), and I hardly hear anyone ever talk about it.
