No, it's not really a "going to the movies and eat some popcorn" type of flick.

I thought it was fascinating watching that one dude pacing back and forth on the bridge for the whole movie until he finally got up the nerve to finally go for it.

taking lives was torture to watch because of it being so predictable, after he fucked jolie and i realized i wasnt going to see her tits again, i knew i was going to struggle with watching the rest of the movie

i had the same problem with the illusionist, not a bad movie, but when you know the outcome of a movie and have to sit through 50 mor eminutes of bullshit just to see your right, it sucks, i dont mind a predictble movie, but please dont try to fool the audience when the shit is easy to figure out, then run 50 minutes of bullshit that the average 10 year old knows isnt true

hawke is great in the first 10 minutes of assult 13, then the movie turns to shit, and morpheous shows up with his slow talking pizza face, Dap needs to wake up, because he sucked in this one

Rumor has it - yea it's a chick flick, but i watched it since it's somewhat of a sequel to the Graduate.

it was fairly decent for a jennifer aniston flick. i give it a 3 out of 5.

also, i finally watched Batman Begins and it was pretty good except katie holmes is a garbage actress. i was shocked to see gary oldman playing a role of a good guy.

Very good drama, very good rewatchability. Only real negative is Affleck in over his head even though he doesn't do nearly as bad as his rep would indicate.

Thumbsucker: I liked it, pretty simple and interesting story. In one word : Relaxing. 6.8/10

Brothers Grimm : Everybody told me it was very bad, especially considering it was a Terry Gilliam movie, so I had pretty low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised, not that it is a great movie, but it is watchable and I even laughed a few times. The tone was a bit childish though. 6.5/10

Sky High : Mediocre movie but I was mildly entertained nevertheless. The idea is good but I suspect Smallville has something to do with it.
    5.5/10

(Yeah I know these are old movies but I watched them on the movie channel)

oh yea, i watched the remake of the Omen last night. The original is the scariest movie of all time next to Carrie.

the remake got horrendous reviews, but i thought it was still scary as hell.

Brothers Grimm is unwatchable. It got the seal of unapproval from me, meaning I quit watching it before it finished. Completely horrible movie.

The only part of Carrie that is scary is the end when she comes out of the ground. Still though, that scene and the ensuing music makes my skin crawl no matter how often I see it.

Watching the Omen remake is like going from the NBA do the NBDL. It looks the same, borderline same thing happening as the original, but it's just a huge drop off. I don't recommend it. Just put in the original. Trust me.

I like fantasy and I like Terry Gilliam so I guess I was more inclined to like it. I can understand why you didn't like it though.

I saw the Exorcist when I was about 6 or 7 years old and I was traumatized by it. I couldn't get myself to watch the remake.

Since then, all movies involving the devil in one way or another are those that scare me the most. I'm not even religious so it left some scars.... :slap:

i watched the Omen I & II when i was in kintergarden. my mom then told me that that shit's going to happen one day then she told me to read the book of revelation. i got more scared after reading it and often had nightmares.

i still get the creeps whenever i watch the Omen. not a good movie to watch by yourself.

No offense meant but your mom is a religious freak! No way I'd scare my son with that type of shit, even If I believed in it. I saw the omen I and II as a kid too but it didn't scare me that much because apart from the scene where the nanny kills herself for Damien, I don't remember these movies a lot. I remember the scene where a kid is stuck under the ice and the one where Damien finds this 666 tattoo on his head while combing his head. The rest isn't clear at all... I remember the 3rd clearly though but it was a shitty movie.

no, my mom wasn't a religious freak. granted she's a christian and goes to church on sundays, but it's not like she preaches the bible.

i was just being inquisitive and asked her if the devil's really going to come to us like that and she pretty much said yea...it's in the bible.

i didnt watch the 3rd one. i heard it sucked ass. plus, doesn't guy from jurassic park play the role of Damien? no thanks.

Okay, it was the main theme for the Omen III. That's why I thought it was used in I and II.

Sissy Spacek will forever be remembered as the girl who played Carrie.

how many times has she been nominated for oscars?

i remember a MAD TV skit where these black guys are talking about the academy award, and then this white critic brings up Sissy Spacek. Aaron Spears then says 'who the fuck is sissy spacek' so they bring up her picture on the tv screen where Aaron Spears then freaks out and yells 'uuuuhhhh! that's that crazy bitch from Carrie!'
