average...could've been alot better...

 

Ok saw couple movies recently here are the reviews..

sum of all fears 7/10 a very good movie but nothing great or very memorable
red dragon 8.5/10 a superb thriller almost just as good as silence
k-pax 9/10 really enjoyed this great movie !!

if they wanted to catch the 3 robbers that left with the hostages wouldn't they just have to watch the security cameras up to the point of the robber destroying them? I mean that way they'd see everybody thats inside the bank so the 3 people that arent there are obviously the robbers??

 

The characters in the movie didn't know WHO the people were that carried out the robbery.

And it was more than 3 robbers, if you paid attention to the movie.

 

i know they didnt know who the robbers were but im saying the cameras worked up to the point where the guy fucked them up sooooo they have on camera all the customers inside the bank all they need to do is look to see who's not on film up to the point of the cameras being fucked and they know who the robbers were

 

The 3 people that came in to fuck the cameras up had masks didn't they, and the other people that helped in the bank robbery were already in the bank pretending to be customers.

 

Bought Minority Report

I hear its good? Whose seen it?

 

Minority Report was a decent flick. One of the last Cruise flicks I actually liked. Nothing great though.

 

Beavis and Butthead-The Mike Judge Collection Vol 1-3: 9/10 One of the funniest show EVER...it could've gotten a perfect score other than the first Vol. 1 is kinda weak, maybe i just need to watch it again...i'll do that. ANOTHER NOT so great thing about these dvds is that it's NOT every SINGLE episode of Beavis and Butt-Head..it's the "BEST OF"..which sucks cause alot of great episodes are missing from this collection...60+ episodes don't make the cut...they should come out with the ENTIRE collection. :clap:

 

I use to love that show. I might pick that up as well.

 

Pan's Layrinth-WAY,WAY,WAY overrated by critics!! I mean seriously this movie got a 30 minute standing ovation at it's premire at Sundance? :doh:

 

The movie was good, but you're right it wasn't some masterpiece like some would have you believe. Still a solid movie, and it was pretty original considering there aren't many fantasy movies that aren't oriented the harry potter crowd. I must admit, the part where that guy gets his face bashed in by a bottle definitely caught me off guard.

 

I've seen it's Alive! pretty silly movie. I think there are sequels to it.:laughing:

 

I agree. Sometimes when something is a bit overrated we have to overate how overated it is and then we overatedly underate it, such as the case in Octopus' thread. The movie was good.

i was pretty good but i expected way better...
what's up with ebert calling it a masterpiece ?? it was good nothing more...

 

TRANSFORMERS -7/10 - Not a bad movie, but the story seemed a bit rushed and felt like it was given a back seat to the action sequences. Rewatchability 3/5.

P.S. Loved the little tidbit where Jazz the only possible "black" Autobot was the only one to get killed. Racist Hollywood at it's finest. They should have just went ahead and made him a black car/autobot.

 

This movie isnt out in theaters until tomorrow, but osfan saw it last night on the internet.

A very good movie if you are 10 years old, all the sword fight scenes are done without CGI, at least you have to give them credit for that. A solid C+ movie.

 

Joy Ride 6.5/10: Two brothers in a cross country road trip play a joke on a trucker who turns out to be a psychopathic killer..he starts stalking them..but then lets them off the hook. Thinking the worst is over the pick up a friend, but rusty nails(trucker) come back for more stalking...

 

The Contract: 6/10 Cusack&Son are in a hicking trip when the come across Freeman and a US Marshall who just bearily survive a rescue attempt by Freemans asssasin team...the US Marshall dies and tell Cusack to deliver Freeman to the LAW..the asshole listens and Freemans team start hunting him and his son in the woods. Cusack has to deal with the asshole son, Freeman trying to slow them down so his team can catch up, and his own inner assholeism.!!! The movie could've been better....

 

Superbad - 8/10

i had to watch it considering it was written by seth rogen and produced by judd apatow.

i expected another corny teenybopper flick, but it was very good.

I just kept thinking that Cusack's character had to be the dumbest guy on the planet!! WTF???

 

:doh: I know...i would just handcuff Freeman to a tree trunk..and run..run...away...fuck delivering him to the LAW.......

 

Superbad - fucking hilarious.

 

Bourne Ultimatum was outstanding, the best of the trilogy.

Man, I can't wait for Halloween to come out!

 

Damn, for real? I know it got a lot of good reviews, but that's saying something to claim it the best. I liked Part II a lot - and that's saying something since I'm not a big Matt Damon fan (though I thought he was great in The Departed)

 

its probly the best one, seemed unnessary to me, all these movies could have been 1 movie, nothing that interesting happens that warrants 3 movies, he doesnt really discovers shit in the first 30 minutes of the first one, and the end of part three, and your like ohh yeah, i figured that much, not really a juicy secret, he could have lived without knowing

 

Very underrated pefromance. Leo and Marky Mark got alot of hype but some how Damon was left out? Marky Mark got to much hype in my opinion.

 

Saw 3 new movies in the last couple of days:

1. Slow Burn: Decent movie. The end kinda reminds me of a poor man's attempt at Usual Suspects, but this movie kept me interested throughout. 7/10

2. Superbad: Fuckin hilarious! Best comedy to come out since 40 Year Old Virgin. I saw Knocked Up awhile ago, and for all its hype I didnt think it was that funny, but Superbad exceeds the hype. 8.5/10

3. The Invasion: PURE SHIT! I woulda been mad had I actually had to pay for it, but I didnt, yet I was STILL mad! 2/10

 

I'll prolly see it, but I'm not extra hyped about it. The movie I cant wait for is American Gangster! I'm in there the day that shit comes out!

Also, I saw the previews for Beowulf last night. That looks like its gonna be hot!

 

i see it that way as well, damon was alot better then mark, mark wasnt any good, the script called for a few one liners for mark that were humorous, but other then that he sucked, and his character wasnt needed for the movie, should have never been in the mvoie to begin with
