Ummm, I don't why you find it so unbelievable. Wolves are amongst the most intelligent wild animals on Earth.

Agreed with your rating. The Grey was an excellent movie.

If they're trying to imply that Neeson took out that entire pack by himself, than that takes away from the movie. If it were a lone wolf, I could possibly buy it. Neeson was surrounded by like 15+ wolves in that final scene. He was slaughtered.

The entire point of the movie is that he wasn't meant to die like a coward with a rifle in his mouth. He was meant to die fighting.

The main wolf told those other wolves to back the fuck up.

Shoot to Kill (1988) - decent movie, they could easily remake this today starring Will Smith and it would be a hit

The $250 million movie X-men: Days of future past has a disappointing first week at the box office with $90 million. The movie has been received well, so let's see how it will do in the following weeks.

The movie's budget was 200 mil and it has already made 261 mil in only 3 days.

I rewatched no country for old men. I'm still not convinced there's any profound message behind it.... Besides some nihilistic commentary on the meaninglessness of the universe that the acausal story is metaphor for. If anything i still think the core of the story might be Tommy lee Jones' character dealing with time passing him by & letting go of the past. Or something. I'm sticking with 7/10

    Network - 6/10

Finch and Holden were excellent on-screen together but Dunaway was awful, surprised that performance won the Oscar.

MUD - 8/10 Didnt know what to expect heading into this one. Matthew McConaughey was cast perfectly in this. IF youre looking for a good drama, this is the movie for you.

Reversal of fortune - a really excellent performance by Jeremy Irons and i liked how ambiguous they left that character & his guilt, but the rest left me cold. I was gonna give it 5/10 until i realized it was based on a true story and the hip, sympathetic, basketball playing lawyer was meant to be the Alan Dershowitz. 3/10.

Slumdog Millionaire rewatched this film again by insistence of my wife who totally thinks is a masterpiece. I still think is an okay Bollywood film that is highly overrated. 8/10

    OK, so again....

Dog Day Afternoon is 8/10. Cool Hand Luke, There will be Blood, Remains of the Day, All The president's men - 8/10. 'Got an Oscar and deserved it' = 8/10

'Okay for a bollywood movie I suppose, but totally overrated' ≠ 8/10

People tend to hate movies that have recently won awards, even if they really like them. :dunno:

Myself, I liked "Slumdog", and I really like Danny Boyle movies, but I would sit down and watch just about any of his other films on a whim, even those sort of reviled, like "The Beach", before taking in Slumdog again.

Goodbye Lenin! 5/10. I probably would have given it 4 if i hadn't loved the scene where the mother 'escapes' so much. It has some sweet moments (any frame Lara was in, especially) but the whole premise seemed contrived and incogitable to me. For a few days, sure. For months, no.

Don't get me wrong: when I say 'okay Bollywood film' is saying it is a good film despite the hundreds of really bad movies Bollywood makes every year. It is good, but did it deserved to win a Best Picture Oscar? Hell, no!!

Oh my fucking god. You could sit through a viewing of the Beach again before Slumdog Millionaire? What the fuck is wrong with you. The Beach has no direction and is all over the place. Just a horrible fucking film. Slumdog is brilliant.

Personally I think you're missing out but if you did see it you'd probably be like most people and think it's overrated since it got so many accolades. I didn't see if for a while myself. It was one of those movies where you hear the name but have no idea what it's about. Only reason I wound up seeing it was because I caught the middle of this one film that totally hooked me in. Turns out that movie was Slumdog Millionare and I later went back and watched it from the begining. It really is a good drama done the old school way with good dialogue pacing and all that. You should really watch it.

I can't disagree with you, saying it's a better movie. I was more entertained by "The Beach", that's all. As ridiculous as that sounds.

That was the first time I watched the movie and to be honest I was a little disappointed. It’s possible, my expectations were too high.
I did enjoy Network, some excellent performances but Dunaway,,, Jaysus, she was brutal.
