I hate this argument because it is pure straw man--no one--NO ONE--is saying steroids make everyone a superman. They do make people better than they naturally would have been and that IS CHEATING.

 

People are acting like to be this good Pacquiao must be on roids.

If roids did that much, there would be more Pacquiao's in boxing, simple.

 

Then why are they banned at all?

 

I think everyone will agree, even those who think that Manny is cheating that he's naturally an amazing talent. Of course PED's don't make you superman, they do make you better depending of where you are naturally.

Terrible example...First off Pac has never tested positive for any substance unlike Ben Johnson. Ben Johnson did not have a brother in the same sport... Not only that but Johnson was caught by a urinalysis not blood test which showed he had Stanozo in his system. Floyd certainly is no Carl Lewis, it is not speculation but fact he has used Xylocaine injections for his hands specifically in the Carlos Famoso Hernandez fight. So taking roids is CHEATING but injections of xylocaine is ok with you?

Mosley used it and lost, Vargas used it and lost but with the latter substance allows you to increase your output of punches and it's force without having to take a knee everytime you hit somebody's head.

So do you personally have a CONSISTENCY with ALL cheating??

 

Was the drug illegal when and where Floyd supposedly used it?

If yes, attack away at Floyd, but there is a reason most people would not consider it to be as egregious as taking PEDs. If not, it's not the same thing.

What is the penalty for taking xylocaine? Do they test for it? If Manny wants to have Floyd tested for it, go for it.

my point is that the very best in a particular sport was cheating and there wasn't proof until there was. He was still cheating before he got caught.
