Yeah I think UFC fighters are paid just fine. And they don’t have to fight if they don’t want. There are organizations out there that will pay much more. But like I always say. UFC is not all of MMA. It’s one company that puts fights together with their talent. They had over 1100 employees (much more now), offices all over the world, gyms all over the world, wellness centers. Those places have electricity, internet, medical staff, etc. Lawyers, doctors, trainers, physical therapist all on staff and I’m sure that’s not including tons more that goes into running that type of operation. All those people and things need to get paid with profit from fights. Despite all that, top fighters who bring ratings and sell merch free paid millions. And lesser paid fighters are given showcases to grow their fan base and interest.

So yeah of course I can justify it. MMA isn’t UFC. And now that UFC is owned by a much bigger company, there are even more options and more opportunities. People can criticize Dana white all they want. Dana white has made UFC one of the biggest names in the world and has grown so much in 20 years, nothing on boxing’s side can compare.

I would also Challenge undercard fighters pay. Nobody in the UFC fights for under 1000 as do some undercard boxers. Especially if it’s your debut. If you see a UFC fighter getting paid less 1000 for their UFC debut, show me. Pretty sure UFC’s debut pay is between 10k-30k.

Nothing to admit. Nobody is going to let their heavyweight champ go into boxing and he can’t even fill seats in MMA. And then to pretty much want Jon jones to sit on the sidelines while Francis possibly losses in boxing and then try and promote the fight with jones would be a fucking stupid thing to do for any company. How hell do you promote that fight? Francis when he was winning couldn’t fill seats, imagine getting KOed? What happened was a phenomenon that nobody saw coming. And now Francis built is name. Good for him. It was worth it for the UFC to let him go.

 

Millions is chump change ?

 

Which fighters get. The low level guy at the bottom who isnt even on the main card isn’t putting buts in the seat. But he is still getting paid at minimum 10k. Whats boxing low level guy that isn’t even on tv e Main card making ?

 

Look it’s cool. We disagree. No big deal. How anyone can see the state of boxing today, today’s state of fighters and think it’s going in the right direction is crazy. Clearly UFC is doing something right. Clearly boxing isn’t. There is nothing this 25 year old company is doing that isn’t better than anything boxing is doing. Including pay on average of all fighters.

 

Those numbers would get well above 10 million. There being said. If canelo worked for a company like the UFC, his next fight would probably be scheduled and against the next top guy. Not his choice.

Just to be clear, boxing is the proper model for fighters pay, correct? Again, minimum ufc fighter gets is 10k. Whats the minimum a pro boxer can get paid? No standard. It could be ten fucking dollars. Fuck off

Did they have collective bargaining at 25 years old? Are there separate owners In charge of Payment or the NFL? Terrible comparison. Anyways No point in arguing. Im not gonna entertain paying a boxer under 1000 when a ufc fighter makes more than that at the lowest level. You got a handful of fighters that complain and the majority don’t. But I will go back to Joshua and today’s top boxers. All 3 of them. They get paid too much and the more you pay these fighters the less you will get from them.
