If it's the same guy I'm thinking of, Naugler has been in against some good kids.

I can't get on boxrec at work joony due to the filters.
I thought this is the same guy that fought one of the Thompson kids, if he is, he's a tough nut to crack.
If he isn't, I may be wrong then.

    And lost to them all.

Isn't it time for the bogusly #4 ranked Henry to face a live body?

    You can't check Boxing Rec?

He lost to Joachim Alcine in his pro debut, also lost to Chad Dawson a few years back.

it's him, assuming you're talking about Anthony "the messenger" thompson. He actually fought two Thompsons, and back-to-back at that. Both fighters were at/around 154.

Not for nothing, but if he's gonna tread water with irrelevant tune-ups while awaiting a title shot, I'd rather see him give Rayco Saunders a rematch. Especially since some at ringside actually had Rayco winning the fight.

Jason Naugler was the main event for a show here in Calgary that I covered for Fightbeat a couple of years back. He was telling me that he really can't turn his shots over anymore because his hands are so bad.

    Karl, you're too obvious.

He is also coming up from super middleweight. And he has terrible hands.

And yet, he's not ranked in the WBC's top 40.

    Tough kid alright.

Here's a thought...why doesn't Henry face Prince Badu Ajamu? It's rhetorical because Karl has me on ignore...I'm guessing it's the avatar.

He can turn them over just fine if he access to some novacaine injections in his hands.

Here's a list of the NABF light heavyweight rankings, broken into two segments:

    Unavailable:
C: Chris Henry (he obviously can't fight himself  )
1: Adrian Diaconu (injured, and next in line as Dawson's mandatory once he heals)
3: Anthony Hanshaw (rumored for the moment to be fighting Nov 3, though against whom is anyone's guess)
5: Epifanio Mendoza (just fought Dawson)
9: Charles Cavarro (knocked out last week, susp. for 60 days)
14: Zach Walters (fighting next weekend)
15: Max Alexander (tied up with The Contender)
16: Roger Cantrell (fighting Andre Ward next month)

    That leaves:
    2: Prince Badi Ajamu
    4: Rico Hoye
    6: Elvir Muriqi
    7: Keith Holmes
    8: Shaun George
    10: Berry Butler
    11: Rodney Toney
    12: Tavoris Cloud
    13: Otis Griffin

Wow he fought the Thompson Twins?? "Hold me now..warm my heart"

    Tough dude..

I think Rayco is retired after Chris's fight. He was injured pretty badly, heard he needed surgery.. I wrote his manager, but he didnt reply..

SOME at ringside had it 95-94 for Rayco with a point deducted from Henry MOST had Henry winning 96-93

I thought Rayco suffered some pretty severe brain damage in that fight with Chris.
Chris beat Saunders handily on points, but Rayco was tough and hung in there, scoring with single arm punch counters but seldom put anything together.
Rayco scored most of his punches after taking a lathering from Chris.

    Myabe it's Cucky Cavallo.

Holmes, Toney, and Butler would have taken the fights on a moment's notice. They would have all been much better options and are probably just as cheap.

agREED on Holmes and Toney. Butler? something tells me he manages to price himself out of quite a few fights. I know Brian is banging the drum hard for him, but when a claim of being willing to take on all comers is followed by "for the right price" it's usually inidicative that dude is looking to get paid.

That said, I've been saying for a while that Butler and George would be the perfect tests or at least step up for Henry (and for the record, I'd pick Henry to beat both, and probably by knockout).

ah, found Cavallo. He just got knocked out last week, so obviously he's out (assuming Henry is fighting in the next 60 days).

what the hell is keith holmes doing at light heavy? last time i saw him, he was down at 154 against some russian before he lost to another russian in karmazin.

he's a boring guy and hard to look good against. i guess he'll soon become the light heavy version of carl daniels.

    95-94 Rayco..

I think mine was the only fight report submitted..

I have the fight on DVD but pug wont let me show it to anyone.. ;-)

Henry is fighting in Beaumont/Orange, TX in Nov, on the Mahfood farewell card, and then this bout vs Naugler (in Canada) is being discussed for late this year or early next..

Your fight attendence is so inconsistent that I assumed you were not there..
Either that or by the following Wednesday I stop looking...

Visiting the CBZ would violate the terms of my contract with boxingtalk
