I have always considered Arben one of the very few real boxing journalists in the sport, and I am somewhat taken aback by the direction he has chosen to take with this particular topic in regards with his own personal aggrandizement for his website.
I am quite sure his attitude will be different when we meet in person, and we can buy one another drinks and discuss "The Sweet Science."

Frankly if every article was hyping a prospect it would be a problem, but you know what? every article being a dry piece that delivers news that one can get on any national sports page is no better. There is a balancing act. Journalism is partially about the facts but there are other aspects to it as well.

The great writers of the past used hyperbole, exxageration and biase to write classic articles. REad Norman Mailer's piece on George Foreman for example. It was originally published in Playboy just prior to when he was supposed to kill Ali ::. By the time you finish it you want to put your covers over your head in bed because you fear George Foreman. Was Foreman really a monster? No, but to be captivated is like being swept off ones feet IMO.

 

1...it's been proven that there is no balance.
2...Foreman was the Heavyweight champion in the world. Henry is known by about 40 people.
