Anyhow, Pacquiao has went through not only a lot of weight classes, but a whole pile of guys with contrasting styles. His chin seems to be as solid as ever and his ability to hit with power from angles no fighter has been able to handle entirely.

Even the guys i've picked against Pacquiao in MM's i haven't thought had zero chance.

Same with Hearns even though his chances wouldn't be very high at all. Perhaps 8%? I don't know but let's just say Hearns is a prohibitive favorite.

One of the things Manny does so well is moving in and out of range being able to hit and be either out of danger, or in position to land even more.

Against a guy like Tommy who was a master at utilizing his reach and being able to land crisp single lead power shots or counters? That would provide an absolutely massive mountain to climb got any smaller guy no matter how good they are. Pac also has been hit with a lot of lead right hands. If absorbs too many from Hearns it's lights out.

It's "good" that Hearns had a fairly fragile chin. If he had a beard like Lamotta he'd almost be "unfair".

Spot on. It's notable that nobody Pac has fought since Morales & Marquez have had very effective right hands. That's by design IMO and it's contributed to Pac's incredible success recently. And your observation about Pac's in and out style versus Hearns' shear range is bang on. Pac has a sturdy chin but I can't see him lasting long in this one, the size and range difference is too vast.

Pac's only chance is a KO....and I can't see him laying out Hearns with one shot, and a firefight with a hurt Hearns would be dicy business. Hearns would be a very prohibitive favourite here. 1-4 or something.

One guy is 5'6" with a 67" reach good boxer excellent slugger with incredible hand and foot speed....whose best defense for a right hand is his face....

the other guy is 6'1" w a 78" reach...great boxer, great jab, insane punching power, great hand speed, questionable chin....ohh and one of the greatest right hands off all time...

Pacquiao gets DESTROYED....no way he outboxes/outspeeds or KO's Hearns...NO FUCKING WAY...
