Thompson sucked in the opener. If you can't handle Yuri Foreman's average attempt at spoiling, you're going few places further.

I wasn't shocked that Yuri won either. He landed plenty of shots and seemed to control the tempo a little better; even if the way he did it sucked.

Zab should fight 4 round fights from now on. He'd go on a 50 fight win streak.

Zab could challenge Butterbean to a "King of the four rounders" title match:popcorn:

    foreman/thompson fight was garbage

Chavez jr. against wiley was garbage

Soto/Pacquiao was decent but no surprise on who won

The main event was damn good. I always thought the fight would be exciting but it was a little better than I expected.

My thoughts are that I think Top Rank has probably put on the two best fight cards - at least domestically - of the year with Pacquiao-Solis and last night's card.

Coto-Mayweather was probably the best fight of the year so far, that I've seen, and I think Top Rank succeeded in laying the ground work for Manny Pacquiao-Humberto Soto later in the year. They also got JCC Jr. some nice air time just before the main event to beat a no-hoper. I don't think Foreman-Thompson was as bad as most, but the call of the fight made it almost unbearable to watch. The comments about astrology and the dreadlocks - and Merchant's unnecessary "dread-ful' quote - were really bad.

I think it's example of how limited Lampley's interest is in actual boxing - as opposed to boxing events - and knowledge are that he couldn't at least go through the motions during the fight. I thought it was rather embarrassing on his part.

It reminded me of Guty Espadas-Bones Adams when he couldn't shut up about Winona Ryder.

I missed the Cotto-Mayweather bout. Who won that one?

UFC fights are 15 minutes minimum. Zab would get knocked out in the last 3 minutes.

Cotto/Judah went as expected, besides the low-blows, and busted lip. Zab had his moments early, stunned Cotto and eventually Cotto broke Judah down. Took two or three rounds longer than one might have guessed, but otherwise Judah followed his script.

Chavez Jr. has some good tools and speed in his left hand powerpunches, but his jab is weak and he doesn´t use his right hand much. He´ll get into trouble, if somebody can back him up imho.

Expect for a few moments Soto made Pacquiao look like the poor gatekeeper he is. The knockout was awesome.

Fighter of the night has to go to Yuri Foreman. His post fight celebration was well deserved and hardly dramatic enough for his grappling performance. I´m so looking forward to the day Foreman gets KTFO.
