For all non-spanish speaking ppl, Trinidad is starting to train. He's weighing 190 lbs, his return bout will most likely be against Roy Jones at 170 lbs. He's fucked up
Not sure if it's that bad of a plan, the "contract" weight will be @ 170 firm. Jones will also be 39 and if Glen Johnson can KHTFO i'd give Trinidad the same chance. Now Jones at 34 Tito gets smashed but this gun shy Jones nah plus he has to beat Hanshaw first and we have to see if he can do that first. If he crushes Hanshaw Tito might say fuck that i'm staying on the couch.
:: @ fighting Jones at 170 :notallthere: thats ridiculous......he didn't even do much at 160.......his power won't be anything special at 170, Jones KO 1 ________ Wholesale vaporizer
Why ROY JONES? What the fuck will that prove? Roy is irrelevant...if Trinidad is 190...and will be coming in at 170 in his first fight back..why not take on the winner of Hopkins vs. Winky? :dunno:and his power at 170 will be SHIT...he needed 8 rounds to stop Mayorga...and that was target practice, Mayo was a human punching bag...:notallthere:..trying to set up a fight against 168 champs is useless cause those cunts won't come over to the states to fight.....
AgREED, and how is Jones goign to shrink to 170? By the way, at what weight is the Hanshaw fight contracted?
Tito is WAY TOO SMALL for any weight above 160. I don't even think he's that big of a middleweight let alone fighting at 168 or above. If that indeed is the plan, then he'd minus well stay in retirement because he's gonna get whacked.
Yeah I don't know what the point of Tito knocking the shit out of Roy is going to serve. I fear for Roy's health.
via fightnews Trinidad return confirmed! Don Felix Trinidad, father and trainer of former world champion Felix 'Tito' Trinidad has confirmed the return of his famous son -- and announced that Roy Jones Jr. is now preferred option as an opponent. Papa Trinidad stated on Puerto Rican radio station WIAC that Team Trinidad has accepted in principle the proposal presented by Don King last week, subject to purse and opponent. According to the elder Trinidad, he was informed by King that Jones Jr. is interested in fighting Tito.
They need to include a special clause in the contract. In the case of a Roy Jones win Carlos Guzman is not allowed to close down Fightbeat.com.
They are saying that because they know that Hanshaw is going to beat Jones. Everybody knows that. Tito will comeback and fight a simple fighter who he can easily control with his power. The he will fight somebody who he shouldn't be fighting, lose, and retire again. This will happen ever 2 years until he's 60 Cupey
since when did Handshaw become this force? jones wouldnt have taken this fight unless he knew he was gonna win. i'd personally rather see tito vs. taylor, spinks, or calzaghe. he'd get whupped by all three.
:nono: He should be in PR on the coast fishing or helping all those kids he has been helping!!!! Nothing to prove at all!
Hanshaw is too big of a risk with a tito fight out there. Roy is developing back problems as we discuss this topic.
I agree with my cousin, after reviewing the top 10 fighters @160 and above I think Tito at this stage of his career should stay in the couch chilling.
