The day you stop telling other users what to post or how to think, will be the day we'll get along. How about it? You think you can do it? Wanna give it a try?
This is all correct Feebs. I also appreciate the help you initially offered when all this got started. Maybe I'm just being a little bitch. I run two of my own websites, but they are generally built using static, shopping cart e-commerce templates and a little bit of simple HTML. Very easy. I picture FightBeat having a much different design with the ability to accommodate Google ads, frames, banners, rss feeds, links to Amazon stores, etc...things I would like to implement and have updated and maintained, along with the actual content of the site........but things I'm not comfortable doing myself or am even confident I'd have the time to do if I knew or learned how. Yes, I am guilty of looking at this as an "investment" and a business, and that may be the part that is driving me crazy. I've been very up front about that. I've got enough "hobbies" already. It's probably selfish and I'm probably letting it make me miserable at the same time. Maybe my expectations this could be a revenue generator for those involved are completely out of touch with reality and driven by greed or ambition or both. Baby steps, nobleart..........baby fucking steps!! Shit, maybe I just need a shrink. :boohoo:
just an FYI. I have now received a request from an owner of another site who is interested in purchasing FB. I am waiting for their official bid but I'm not so opposed to that option to if it makes sense for everyone. No I won't tell you who it is just yet. cupey
Well, if you want to stay permanently beligirent, bitter, party-crashing, irresponsible forum member, so be it. It is certainly your choice, and, although I can't agree with it, you have a right to it.
OK. I just received an offer of $1000 from a third party who runs a website. I also have an offer from a forum member who just contacted me today and offered $900. I'm running out to dinner. But again, I will make my decision today and it will be final. Cupey
Well let me just say that at this point I think Buddy Rydell is the obvious choice to take leadership of the new site. I think everyone knows him, respects him, and if he accepts the challenge I will be more than happy to sell to him and his chosen partners. I am just awaiting official notification that he's ready to take over. He, possibly Nobleart and Punk seem like very good people and I hope everyone will do everything in their power to help turn FightBeat into a great site. Buddy and the gang it's up to you to say what you want to do. I am ready to step down. Cupey
My bid has been submitted, Cupey. I have three other guys willing to help out. Plus, I know some of the forum regulars will be glad to chip in with technical work and writing. Looks like we'll be able to keep the site rolling.
I wish the best for Fightbeat! I know if we get the main page updated with fresh material (on a daily bases) the forums will spark once again!:bears:
