I'm not really talking about hughes/koscheck, more the general level of boxing in MMA, such as Nate Diaz. Chuck Lidell fucking sucked a boxer, he was just a very effective striker because of other's awful defense, and his excellent takedown defense etc. His punching technique and boxing ability was horrendous. He was a total over achiever, and just good for his day, when MMA boxing was non existant. But Koscheck is an awful striker, why the fuck do they keep talking about his awesome, improved striking?

No doubt, I should have been more clear in my post. It's bizarre that they are trying to market Koscheck as a good striker. He really is like a poor man's Liddell, he's no better than in TUF1, he just throws his right hand more.
Rampage couldn't even put down Hamill I mean if he's to knock out Jones or even drop him I'll be shocked I think Jones will just take him down and pound him out .

Given Jones's versatility and reach I can't see this plodding version of Rampage doing anything to him. This is going to be 1 sided.
if he annhilates Machida and Rashad while GSP continues winning tentatively, there would be no doubt in my mind that he would be ahead of GSP

funny thing is that it's rampage cardio which is questionned while, in fact, it'S Jones one who has never been proven
His kicks are pretty slow too, but somehow his elbows look fast. I said a while ago Jones' striking is incredibly overrated, and it's actually his ground game I'm most impressed with. Such as his domination over Bader. Oh and Jones seems to be giving a GSP esque performance.
