strangely, MMA is becoming boring because most of the champions seems too strong compared to any challengers out there.

Tough fight to predict. I think Silva wins all day in a stand up fight, despite the reach deficit. Jones could outwrestle Silva easily though.

My highlight of the night was Mark Hunt winning. Match him up with Travis Browne he will knock that fool out.

the altitude in colorado clearly affected those fat heavies. good to see hunt win though. i can't believe he went for an armbar!

jones's size and reach is unbelievable. in addition, he is so quick. he can't be fucked with.

Rampage pretty much quit. I don't blame it though. He's a shell at this point. Sad.

Jones did what he needed to do. Showed off improved boxing. That takedown in the 4th was absolutely nutty too.

Exactly. I'm not too impressed because Rampage quit since he started training camp. He fought for the check. White should just waive him. I don't want to see his unmotivated ass anymore.

thats silly to say that man.
im sure rampage thought he stood a perfectly good chance to win

as the fight progressed he realized he couldnt do anything and didnt apply himself as much so he didnt put himself in great danger

Nothing remotely surprising about the outcome. As I said before, this is the same Rampage that couldn't even pull the trigger against Matt FREAKING Hamill. The idea of him actually have the reflexes or reaction time to pull the trigger against a young, rangy athlete like Jones was unthinkable.

It's funny, but I get the impression that Jones could have taken Rampage down whenever he wanted, but he actually CHOSE to beat Rampage standing. The dude has amazing leg kicks. He was absolutely fucking Jackson's knees up.

Jones needs to work on his technique. He busted up his feet kicking the shins and knees of Rampage.

After Being Sliced & Diced in Round 3, Rampage PRESSED the Issue to Begin Round 4...Then he Walked Into that Sneaky Left Hook...

There's NO WAY Rampage Quit...Sure, he was Beaten MENTALLY as Well, but he Went Out Guns Blazing...He was just SEVERELY OVERMATCHED, is All...

    agREED...

Jones has COMPETITIVE ARROGANCE, so when an Opponent or "Experts" Tells him he CAN'T Do Something, he's Gonna PROVE that he Can...He Mostly Credited Winkeljohn for Getting his Stand Up Game Up to Speed, for this Fight...

Dude is Already on Top, yet Still DEVELOPING Before Our Eye's...

That was my favorite point of the whole fight. Rampage backed up, nodded and smiled almost acknowledging Jones was just too much.

They Inadvertently Cut to a Different Camera Angle just as The Shot Landed, so it was Easy to Miss...But Rampage's REACTION to it Certainly Wasn't...

Tough to Say...REED DOUBTS Jones would B as Willing to Whip Out the Highlight Reel Moves that he Typically Does, but it's NOT Hard to Picture Bones doing what Sonnen Did to Silva for 4 3/4 Rounds...

TODAY, REED Would Slightly Lean Towards Silva, but w/Each Fight, Jones is Getting BETTER...

    Yep...

Jones Could Win a Boring, GSP Styled, Dryhump-a-thon...But if the COMPETITIVE ARROGANCE, that REED Spoke of, Gets the Best of Jones & he DARES to Try to Beat Silva @ his Own Game, that Could B Bones' UNDOING...

rampage claimed he was in the best shape of his life coming into this fight. not sure exactly when jackson's supposed prime was, but it's not like he would've done anything different. jones is just a better fighter.

Rampage doesn't even fight remotely similar to how he did when he was at his peak.

    EXAGGERATION...

Rampage is SLOWER than he Used to B & REED Can't Recall him Slamming Anybody Since he Joined UFC, but to Say he "Doesn't Even Fight Remotely Similar" is an OVERSTATEMENT...PRIME Rampage MIGHT Last the Full 5 w/Bones & in the Absolute BEST Case Scenario MIGHT Land a Lucky Lick, but Prime for Prime, Bones Jones BEATS Rampage 9 1/2 Out of 10 Times....

was his peak when wanderlei thrashed him twice or when he delivered that power bomb on arona after being unconsious for good 10 seconds prior to?

if his peak was in UFC, then that must have been for two fights when he iced chuck and beat henderson before losing to griffin.

let's face it, the guy's never been a dominant top level fighter.

Let's put it this way, there was never anything in Jackson's skill set that would give Jones any problems aside from the big punch.

But also, let's not revise history. If Prime Rampage means the Rampage that fought in Pride, then we're talking about a fighter that was inconsistent, typically poorly trained and unable to cope with pressure fighters.

It's not like a 24 or 25 year old version of Rampage was some Spartan in training that was dedicated to his craft and honing multiple skill sets. He partied more than anything by his own admission and didn't even have a real camp.

    Funny stuff....

Yes. Despite losing those fights, that was absolutely a better version of Rampage then today's version who nearly loses to Jardine.

Yep, it was a younger and probably better version. But what does that have to do with your comment that

Again, in your rush to be contradictory, you make a ridiculous statement.

    Slow down kid.

i hope jones moves up after he beats rashad (i think it's an easy fight. rashad won't be able to take him down, and jones is way superior in stand up).

U Don't Want to See him CLEAN OUT Lightheavy 1st???...By This Time NEXT Year, Bones Could have Conceivably Beaten Everybody...Rashad, Machida, Shogun Again (if he Even WANTS a RE)...Lightheavy is UFC's Most Competitive Division & it'd B a HUGE Resume Enhancer if Jones Could RULE 205 like Silva's Doing @ 185 & GSP @ 170...

REED Can't Wait for Bones to Move Up to Heavy Either, but there's UNFINISHED Business @ 205...
