    word.

Usual suspects was a decent film but overrated mainly because of the twist ending. Very good twist, perhaps the best twist in history of film, but that in itself doesn't make a movie. Otherwise it was just decent but nothing special. Crimson Tide was QUALITY from the opening scene to the end. Phenomenal acting by the entire cast and had the best dialogue (screenplay) of any film of 1995. A couple of the exchanges between Washington and Hackman, for example were just incredible.

The thing I don't like about the twist is that despite it being so well-done and dramatic, is that it muddles much of the movie. What happened, what didn't happen. Also, he puts himself damn close to getting caught just for fun. I know he makes a comment about "do you think he'd let himself get so close to being caught" or something like that, but still. How does he know how long it will take for the fax to come in? The fax arrives like 30 seconds after he leaves. That's beyond "cutting it close".

Alas. You do not agree! Not even on this. You may have misread Sly's post. In fact, he concedes that Ledger ' s performance was better than Nicholson's. You, on the other hand, feel that Jack's was better. Therefore, as per usual, you two do not agree.

Ledger was clearly a better joker than Nicholson

I watched Crimson Tide only once and all I remember about it was that it starred Gene Hackman in a submarine or it was a boat? :scratcher:

    These two make no sense.

DeNiro always gets plenty of praise for Heat, and Stallone always gets plenty of praise for Rocky.
