Ruiz is probably the heavyweight Titlist that I have liked the least in all boxing history ( honourable mention to Chris Byrd and Herbie Hide)

I have watched that fight like four times, serious. I don't know why.

Williamson-Byrd must be the worst fight ever, I think it outstinks Ruiz' best work

I (thankfully) haven't seen it. It's said to think that Ruiz and Byrd both were world champions at the same time. At least we had Lennox was around.

even golota/ruiz was torture to watch.

i remember just wishing ruiz would get physically hurt so that it would just stop. i actually felt bad.

The Ruiz-Oquendo fight was stopped a bit pre-maturely and that nearly always results in bunch of resentful fans. Not for that fight though. Everybody in the arena was glad it was over and although i can't read minds i think that's why the referee stepped in. Put an end to everybody's misery.

What made it worse was Ruiz's obnoxious Masshole manager

Yep, although there was the one time he was entertaining. I think it was against Rahman.

"I WANT YOU TO GO OVER THERE AND KICK THAT GUY'S FUCKEN ASS!"

Tony "The Tiger" Lopez vs. John John Molina. It was great but largely forgotten trilogy. Great back and forth action in all three fights.

I have a friend who often rewatches a harrowing documentary about Romanian orphanages when he's on an ecstasy comedown, I bet you two would get along

I laugh when I think back at Ruiz-Rahman...it was on the undercard of some card that even casual fans wanted to check out
so a pub full of people were forced to sit through the worst fight ever, their commentary was classic
