Pacquiao Donaire Martinez Gay Marquez Gamboa If you can consider Morales "current" then he replaces any of the above 5 :kidcool: Runners up are Cotto, Frock, Bradley, Kirkland. And even though I think he's a total cock, if he continues to give performances as entertaining as the Acosta one, Rios shall make my runners up.
I enjoy watching him fight, but JMM isn't too far removed from being a cunt himself. Casa talks mad shit, but as Neil said is actually a cool cat. Marquez respects his fans to the point of humility, but has given plenty of reasons over the years to not like him.
Care to elaborate Jake? Gay Marquez has always seemed pretty likeable to me. I'm surprised you say Casamayor is actually cool in real life. The guy seems to have an air of nastyness about him, I thought he'd be a proper prick.
The most recent example was how he did Maidana wrong. Nacho agreed to train Maidana for his fight w/ Morales (the very same fight Marquez passed on, over a dispute w/ Golden Boy). Marquez knew of the arrangement and didn't say shit about it... until the day Maidana arrived in Mexico ready to begin training camp, when he refused to allow him in the gym and that he'd sever all ties w/ Nacho if he went through with it. I'm not quite sure why Nacho didn't tell Marquez to go fuck himself, but apparently thinks enough of him to have told Maidana to train elsewhere.
:: Good call. My statement was about 90% sarcastic. Martinez is pretty awesome to watch. I just wish Roy wouldn't have been so humble, and piped up about the comparisons they made to him. They are no where near the same class. Even Roy, in his punch drunk state, knows that in his prime he didn't get hit with 1/10th of the clean shots that Martinez does.
Holy fuck, that's incredible. To even wait until Maidana came all the way to the camp before saying anything?? Jesus, he sounds like a proper arsehole. What was his beef anyway, with Nacho training Maidana? That surprises me. Like I said, he's always appeared affable enough, and this is the first I've heard to suggest otherwise.
Did I miss something? Has he retired again since beating Mosley, because if he hasn't, he is still the current World WW Champ, & certainly an active fighter as a result.
With all this legal shit and no announcement of him even planning to take to the ring again, he's not in the picture in my eyes. He would definitely be in my list if he came back though
