Saldivar would have been a horrific matchup for Naz.

    Naz gets grounded into bolivian.

On a serious note, how do you reckon Saldivar vs Sanchez plays out?

Actually a good boxer, better than Naz and would have given Joe Cal a good fight.

In my mind I think I have Sanchez beating every 126lbr that ever lived.

I don't think I believe that. Not even sure he beats his own contemporary (Pedroza).

Then there's a question if he could handle Pep, given that Sal had difficulty with boxers. And maybe Sanchez gets hit too often to beat Arguello, but that would have been a great fight.

I'd favor Sanchez over every featherweight of the last 30 years though.

I just feel Arguello's struggles with Olivares speak more than Sanchez struggles with Nelson, and Nelson was basically "Unknown"....but very lethal.

And it's hard to overlook how good Arguello was at 135 without wondering if some of his shine there made its way to 126 by proxy. That sort of thing is common today.

As for Pep you have a point. Sanchez fought a guy called Pat Cowdell to a 15 round split decision, dropping the dude in the last round....but Nelson blew Cowdell out in a round.

Coldwell was a boxer in the very usual sense of the word.

Arguello was still somewhat green when he fought Olivares - earlier that year he had lost to Ernesto Marcel (another great fighter who gets overlooked, and who should be in the HOF).

After he won the title, he really started coming into his own, and he was a different beast by the next year when he destroyed Royal Kobayashi.

I can't help but think that Sal gets engaged in a shootout with Arguello, which would be a bad idea.

For what it's worth, Ruben Castillo (who faced both of them) said that Arguello was better than Sanchez.

Not having Davey in the IBHOF shows anyone that really knows boxing how ignorant those individuals are about the sport.

Theres a shitload of guys who should be in the IBHOF but arent: DeJesus, Rodrigo Valdez, Ernesto Marcel, Gilberto Roman, Meldrick Taylor, Lionel Rose, Yuri Arbachakov, Happy Lora, Michael Nunn, the list goes on.

Terrible - that is why I will have none of it. Been asked to go several times I always declined and always will. Putting McGirt in over Taylor who cleaned his plow when both were at their best is ridiculous. Pone Kingpetch, Reggie Johnson, Mando Ramos, John Stracey and dozens of others.

Yes, we're once again in agreement. That made no fuckin sense - McGirt making it in over Taylor. Purely politics... cause Buddy is popular and liked.

Last year's class should have clearly been Curry, Jackson, and Taylor.

Pone Kingpetch, and Mando Ramos should both be in. Reggie Johnson? I guess he's kinda borderline.

I'd say Eddie Mustafa Muhammad should be in.

Jiro Wantanabe is another little guy who should be.

They put in Yoko Gushiken - who was no better and no more accomplished than Wantanabe.

I actually think Wantanabe probably beats Inoue.

Sung Kil Moon should be in too.

Not sure, but Chavez really destroyed Castillo. One of his best performances.

If you want my opinion, I can't for the life of me see Sal Sanchez beating Chavez at 130. I think Sal would've gotten owned.

He said that Art Hafey would beat Salvador Sanchez - it is on "Toy Tiger" regarding JCC - he was having no problem hitting Chavez and then he was knocked out and Castillo was way past it then.
