I think Fury is better than Ortiz.

Im leaning toward Deontay Wilder now.

Fury has added Freddie Roach and, lolololololol - Ricky Hatton into his corner which will surely mean main cornerman, Ben 'I've-got-no-experience-at-all' Davison will be shoved aside.

    Disorganisation already.

This comes down to whether Fury has the fitness to go the 12. If he's 100% mentally and physically, he has absolutely every chance of winning. He has the tools to make Wilder look like a fool. This won't be a classic, but it could well have one moment in the fight where it suddenly explodes in to life and it's over (with Wilder landing a big right).

Hearn having a pop at sales, saying every ticket price is still available and that it hasn't broken 8k sales yet.

I'm not certain. I bet Ortiz would be better if he was 5 years younger...It's a fucking shame he arrived so late

We're deep into fight week and we're talking about this fight at all? Weird, but I'm not all that excited for it either.

I'm sticking with the prediction I've had all along... Wilder stops him in about 5-6.

It's the weirdest fight in years.
Fury has dropped 100lb in weight which means he's super-serious for this fight, and he's a great boxer/mover but on the other hand, Wilder has the ability to KO anyone.

Ive stated Fury would outbox Wilder but what with all these corner changes, I dont know now...

Ticket sales have been abysmal, apparently.

It's hilarious that Wilder thinks this will generate over a million buys.

If they hit 400k buys it should be seen as a huge success.

    I'm gonna say 350k.

What's sad is, Pac-Broner will do double the PPV numbers of Wilder-Fury.

This week it was announced that Crawford's next fight is against Louie Collazo.

To put that into perspective... Collazo once got dominated by Mosley back when Shane still had a good amount left in the tank. And Mosley has been shot now for 100 years.

Collazo hasn't had a good performance since he beat up a prime Hatton. Let that sink in how long ago that was. It's awful that Crawford is fighting him.

Canelo is fighting Rocky Fielding, Spence is fighting Tiny Mikey and Porter/Thurman will continue to avoid him. Yeah, 2019 might be a bad year.

So much for being the "baddest man on the planet".

Mike has been retired for 15 years and still can't walk in the general population without bodyguards cause he'd be mobbed by fans.

Wilder could walk through Manhattan and maybe 5 people would recognize him.

Wilder is more popular than you think. Every time he takes a cab he is recognized by the drivers. But that's because he actually fought them.

    LMAO!!!!

In all seriousness, Wilder seems to be popular with casuals. His fans go to war for him.

In Europe the fight has created pretty much excitement, which is understandable since all major heavyweight bouts have been here for years.

Still, those ticket sales sound extremely bad

I'm excited. This has been one of the most difficult fights to call that I can remember. I'm leaning towards Wilder because 36 minutes is a long time to go without getting caught by that right hand, especially when you've been out so long and ballooned in weight like Fury. The comeback fights told us nothing because the opponents were shit and he was still in the process of losing weight. We have no idea if Fury still has the legs he had Vs Klitschko. If he does I would lean towards him, but we just don't know. I am rooting for Fury though.

I'm pretty excited and it's got a lot of people talking here, including totally casual fans (my girlfriend keeps asking to see the build up shows on YouTube!). I think this shouldve been in the UK

Wilder is probably more famous in the UK as 'that guy joshua/fury is gonna fight' than he is in the US.

its fine to say 'if he avoids that right hand" but Wilder does not have Naseem Hamed/Julian Jackson/Thomas Hearns/Mike Tyson/Lennox Lewis technique or power though...and enough guys went the distance with them.

Technique? Fuck no, of course not, but his power is serious as cancer.

Agreed. Wilder has very little variety in his boxing, but nothing suggests that his power couldn't be on the level of Lennox. Or if it isn't quite there, it can't be far behind either

If this ppv does shit, it will hurt Wilder's negotiations with Joshua (assuming he wins).

I saw an interview with Hearn where he said if Wilder-Fury does 1m+ views he will give him 50/50 Vs AJ.

Firstly, even if by some MAJOR MIRACLE that were to happen, I don't believing Eddie would offer 50/50. He's a pathological liar.

Secondly, Eddie made that statement knowing damn well this fight won't break a million buys.

    Not a shot in Hell.

"Like I said before", I'm predicting 300-350k buys.

VERY VERY best case scenario, like 500k.

Exactly. What he was really saying was, we do not intend to give him 50/50.

It's more like "we'll consider it because we'll basically have to at that point, but will find other reasons not to in the mean time"
