Tyson started boxing after Ali visited the juvenile facility he was in. He wanted to box after meeting Ali and Bobby Stewart helped him and eventually brought him to Cus.

When he had that psychological profile test after the Bite Fight, they said he had a lot of borderline traits. He didn’t officially get diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder but they said borderline traits with depressive and self esteem issues.

Wasn't Mike on Zoloft a decade ago?

Bipolar disorder doesn't go away, Azazel. You have it for life, you simply treat it.

And no shit Mike is bipolar!

Tyson is a success story because it's a miracle he's not dead, and it's even an even bigger miracle that he totally revamped his image.

I dunno if any other celebrity in history has revamped their image as positively as Mike has.

Mike has literally pulled a reverse OJ. While OJ went from beloved hero to despised villain, Mike has gone from despised villain to one of the most beloved athletes on Earth.

Make no mistake, with Ali now deceased, theres NO OTHER athlete on Earth that generates the type of buzz when they walk into a room as Tyson.

You could put global football stars, Michael Jordan, Lebron James, and Tyson into one room filled with people, and Tyson would generate most of the attention.

That's because theres a certain aura about being around a mega famous boxer that's unlike being around other sportsmen.

It's very truth that every other sport is simply a metaphor for what boxing IS.

Out of old athletes and a room filled with middle-aged people, he might be close, although I still believe Maradona would clearly surpass him.

Now, there are a shitload of 25 olds who have no idea who Tyson was

Maradona is definitely more famous world wide than Tyson

  8. Tyson now. LOL.
I can name 10 athletes who'd get more attention than Tyson.

Fat Georges made a more incredible public image turnover imo. Tyson went from loved by all, to hated by all, and back to loved by all.

Georges was hated by everyone, and he didnt seem he had the charisma (unlike Tyson) to ever conquer hearts

Remember when Foreman had a short lived sitcom?

    It had D’Angelo Barksdale

George (TV Series 1993–1994) - IMDb
