Mayweather may be the best boxer in the world but unless he comes back against a P4P guy like PacMan, the fight won't have near the entertainment value of UFC 100.

By the way, the Roy Jones event the other night proved that you can stage boring boxing and boring MMA on the same card. I can't imagine that the card generated any new crossover fans from either side of the fence.

Absolutely. I was just pointing out that I'm a single fight fan who would buy UFC 100, but won't if Floyd is coming back that night.

Isn't that just supposedly going to be a tune up fight? I doubt it will be any serious effect, but there are fans like you. I am close, but I would lean to the UFC rather than Floyd.

And for personal safety sake, I would never tell you what to watch.

I could care less about Mayweather. I'd watch UFC 100. Funny enough, I'm actually a hardcore boxing fan too. I'd just read the post-fight report of Floyd's fight against whatever handpicked piece of sh*t he decides to choose for his so-called comeback. And unless he gets KTFO, I'd probably have no motivation to watch the replay.
Just never found Floyd entertaining to watch at all. Floyd will have no effect whatsoever on UFC buys.
Floyd always needed another mega-star to help sell his fights. He's not selling sh*t on his own.

 Mayweather is NOT the best boxer in the world. The chumps he's been beating were either too small or too old. The guy went 12 rounds against a shot Oscar and won 8-4 at best. Pacquiao won every round and gave Oscar the beating of his life.
This chump is just handpicking either shot old men or little guys. Let him call out Mosley if he has any real balls.

People are obsessed with Mayweather, point blank. People can act like Mayweather making a return won't effect numbers but it sure won't help the UFC at all. A Mayweather comeback will make mainstream news taking away UFC publicity.

Not trying to be a dick. But besides on message boards I personally don't know one Mayweather fan. I hang in a mma gym as well as a boxing gym. In my boxing gym, all the boxers always say he's talented and P4P #1, but no one LIKES him. Maybe its all relative to location and everything. But seriously, RJJp4p, in your circle do you know tons of Floyd fans? What about you REED?

It will have no effect what so ever.

Hey you guys wanna watch UFC 100?
    - No, Floyd Mayweather is fighting a TBA, gotta catch that.

Yeah, I'm sure that will happen?

No doubt. PPV experts say that the crossover PPV buyers make up about 12-15% of MMA buys. How many among that 12-15% would NOT buy the stacked UFC 100 event to watch Mayweather boringly avoid danger against a nobody.

I heard that the Afflicton card would be free if it was on the same night as UFC100 wich isn't as stupid as it sounds ( it may even had been a wise move if they'd do this for UFC 99 )
