UFC 193 |Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm

I don't think much about rousey not saying anything since the fight. I remember stories about Floyd Patterson wearing disguises after losing to johanssen. If I'm not mistaken, johanssen found himself twitching on the canvas out cold in the rematch.

Didn't Patterson get knocked down six or seven times in their first match?

 

Nah....that was after losing to Liston. In fact he expected to lose to Liston and had already packed the disguise in his bag.

 

I don't know what's going on with Ronda, but we don't need to know every detail of her personal life after her first loss as a pro fighter. It's ok if she wants to cut the rest of the world off temporarily and have some time to herself. She'll take some time off, and she'll come back stronger than ever. Or not. Either way, the details of her personal life that she wants to reveal to the world right now don't matter.

I'd love to see her come back and win a rematch. I wanted to see her retire undefeated as the greatest of all time in women's MMA. She's the one who decides what's next, not her fans, family, or coaches.

Ronda Needs to WOMAN UP & Grant a Post-Fight Interview Like All Other Fallen Champions Do...When Tarver KO'ed Roy, Roy was Interviewed IN the Ring...It DIDN'T Take Pacquiao WEEKS to Speak about the Marquez KO...If her Face is Still Fucked Up, Fine, Do a PHONE Interview, but @ Least SPEAK on the Shit...

Her interviews were contrived smacktalk. Talking smack would seem inappropriate now so she doesn't really have much to say.

 

Of course Ronda wanted fame and publicity when she was on top of the world. She has been humbled, truly defeated for the first time in her MMA career when no other fighter even made it close. If she wants to stay quiet for a while, it's understandable.

She doesn't have anything to gain from doing interviews right now. If she wants to keep her life private for a while, nobody will care when she comes back and dominates her division again. If she doesn't come back she'll still be remembered as the greatest of all time in women's MMA. Unless Holly can go on a run and defeat all comers for a few years like Ronda did.

 

Immediate rematch. I HATE immediate rematches in this type of situation if I am a Rousey supporter, but it should let all of you who were trying to say how wrecked she is know that she believes otherwise.

i doubt holm would be inclined to face cyborg at a catchweight. is cyborg still trying to make 135 or has that gone out the window since rousey lost?

who knows, ronda hasn't said anything but she might have told dana that she wants an immediate rematch.

 

I could see a 140 pound catchweight fight. Would the UFC start a 145 pound division for Cyborg if she can't make 140? They started the 135 pound division (and women's fights overall) because of Ronda.

 

Not, that honor will go back to Cyborg, who never should have lost it. As of now, Rousey ain't much better than a Carano imo.

 

haha. there are other fighters that are better and more accomplished than carano. ronda has been proven to be beatable, but she's still the most dominant female fighter ever.

 

No at all, unless you drink the UFC koolaid (whic you seem to do non stop ). Cyborg is far more dominant. Now it's all cool and fun to denigrate Carano, but at the time, she was considered the dominant female fighter.
