Agreed, everyone of them is on something imo. Anyone who goes to a serious gym will be shocked at the amount of non professional individual who takes PED. Now consider the $$$ and the fame and it's hard to see why any top level athletes won't take them. I don't like it either but, speaking to experts on the subject, it's the way it is. We all know that drug testing in the UFC and Boxing are a joke (though I do remeber the UFC does some random testing for a few athletes like Overeem, Sonnen, Silva and Belfort). So its either that all of the top guy's do it (my view), or that it's not as effective as advertised.
If that was the case, she'd have a beard, like woman to man transgender do. They are many different kind of steroids. The one Cyborg was caught for, stanozo aka winstrol, is mainly for cutting weight and is considered one of the least potent steroids for bulking
It's possible I mean you could just drag all 135ers up a little more fat a little more muscle, what's the difference. but they cannibalize each other I think.
There are many girls at 145 who fight in invicta and smaller organizations. They just need to have another TUF to Bring the out. Plus these women like Ronda, Holm, tate, arent getting any younger. Girls like Pena, nunes and even mcmann i know kill themselves to make 135. Those are big girls.
I've no clue about invicta but suspect the talent pool is not close to the 135lbs division. Have you seen them to make a judgement?
Invicta girls? I seen them. Nothing special. But im not really talking about those girls. Im talking about the girls in minor leagues or girls that train all the time with the hopes of getting a shot. This sport is growing like crazy. So many girls in it right now, thanks to the likes of Ronda.
Yup. Women are supposed to be soft and cuddly: lovers not fighters. But nooooooooooooo....women need to be all up in men's bidness, getting all hard and muscular and shit, getting their noses broken and getting battered and bloodied. I bet these MMA women don't even get their monthly period anymore. Bunch of butches!
WMMA is very popular here. The MMA gyms are packed with them. It's a growing sport. There are many girls that train exclusively that could be pros in the week division that is there.
Facial hair is the side effect that's most easily reversible. Electrolysis can get rid of any unwanted hair. Losing the manly voice is harder. Listen to Cyborg speak, and listen to female pro bodybuilders speak. It was obvious for years before she got caught. Winstrol is potent for gaining strength without gaining much mass. It also has potent androgenic side effects. I don't believe for a minute that she's only taken winstrol and only for that fight where she got caught.
I'd guess she's stronger than 90% of men her weight. She'll never have the strength of an elite male fighter, but she's much stronger than any woman she's fought. That I've seen.
I go to the gym 5 days a week on my lunch break with a buddy of mine. Several guys have joined us over the years. They usually start working out, realize it's hard, and quit after a month or two. I've seen so many guys struggle to bench press weights like 75 or 95 pounds. Average dudes who are out of shape. A guy who can bench his own weight is easily in the top 10% of men at their weight. I'm talking about all men in general, not the ones who train for sports.
Cyborg is way stronger than regular 150 pound guys who don't lift weights or train for sports. She's stronger than 90% of the male population at her weight.
i dont know about 90 percent, but watching the footage of her grappling tito, she does seem real strong for a female.
Horseshit. Lifting weights doesn't mean shit. I never lift weights and I damn can outmuscle men 20 pounds heavier than me. Just like rousey ain't beating men at her weight, cyborg ain't. Cyborg may be trained better than most guys, but put a man in the same gym, with the same weight, doing the same training and he would destroy the bitch in weight lifting or a test of strength. Woman and men are different and no chemicals will ever change that.
I've been lifting weights religiously for 26 years, since my 14th birthday. I'm 240 pounds. My max deadlift of all time was in the low 500s. Max squat in the mid 300s, max bench in the high 300s. I am nowhere near being able to set women's world records. Women who set world records in weightlifting (with the assistance of male hormones) are stronger than almost all men. Elite male powerlifters who take steroids still beat them, obviously. My arguments about Cyborg's strength aren't about fighting skills. Fighting is about a lot more than physical strength. Fighting skills and experience matter a lot more than strength at the gym, in terms of who wins a fight.
She is a gym rat. Any gym rat her size will be stronger than her. Of course there are always exceptions. If a guy is not in the gym lifting weights, of course it'll take him some time to get used to it. But you put any man in the gym with her doing the same training and they will be stronger. And of course, as I said, there will always be exceptions. But the rule is the rule.
I meant she's stronger physically than 90% of the male population at her weight. Most guys don't train at all, for weightlifting or for martial arts. Even with a year of training, I'd think most guys at her weight wouldn't beat her in a fight or in a test of strength. If she fought men at her weight class in the UFC, she'd lose. Men who make it to the UFC at all are usually in the top percentage of MMA fighters out there. My whole point about Cyborg being strong was about how much of an unfair advantage it is for her compared to women who've been competing naturally without steroids. It's a huge advantage even if she's quit recently.
