So in other words, you've never seen Forrest Griffin Fight.

Castillo vs Corrales was by far the best and most exciting display I've ever seen in combat sports. Unlike you, I am a fan of both, and dont feel the need to bash either boxing or MMA. Truthful enough?

  4. Yeah.

    MAB/Juarez 2
    Vasquez/Soto
    Guzman/Barrios

And the Morales/Pacquiao III card is shaping into a good one too.

MAB v Juarez II? Gimmie a break, Pandy. You're reaching there.

You could just say every fucken PPV that ever was, was great if you're going to use that fight as an example. That was disgusting.

Do you think anyone besides the most hardcore of boxing fans knows any of those fighters besides Barrera, much less gives a damn about them enough to make it worth $45+

  8. It was an awful fight in retrospect... but the same could happen to any fight card in any sport. It was an awesome card on paper going in.

Rampage put Chuck on his back and ass,..and Ortiz can do it too if he fights the right fight.

The last time, I think Tito tried to honor his word by beating Chuck on his feet.

Dumb move. And I know that Chuck has phenominal takedown defense,..but I gotta believe that if Tito can take down all the fighters he has taken down..he can take Chuck down too.

The only question is, can he do it before Chuck lands his patented right hand bomb before Ortiz slams him.

LMAO at UFC trashing the card. UFC fights always turn out to be garbage anyway no matter how good they look going in.

If UFC is garbage, then why is UFC and MMA growing at a ridiculous pace, outdrawing most boxing and wrestling PPV's and getting bigger every day?

It's not just because of the action, it's because they're doing things boxing doesn't do anymore. Being fan friendly, giving solid undercards, putting good fights on free TV, etc.

Just because the UFC is the front runner in the states dosn't mean it's good (not saying it's garbage though). They are very very inconsistent as far as shows go. A decent ppv here a horrible ppv there. They have put on some really good fights on tv though. There is no reason for their free fight nights to be better then their $40 ppv. Looking forward to 65 though.

not sure I agree with that logic....stars will be on PPV and sometimes those stars are harder to match up than up and coming guys who are hungry, such as diego and Karo or herman and mcdonald

its not that....its just he is a ufc hater, yet he watches them all and has tito ortiz's name in his email address:rolleyes:

simple as this, if you're not a football fan, but you love baseball, you'd likely say greg maddox is more exciting than barry sanders. you'd be an idiot, but chances are there are people who'd argue it, and I think we have a similar case here......RJJ has taken to hating on MMA for some time now....its quite amusing actually how much shit he talks about it instead of just ignoring it....You dont see me going around to billards websites bashing billiards on tv:nixweiss:

I am just a sucker for combat. The thing is i like watching fights. I watch the UFC because i want to see good fights and i hope to see them. However i watch it and usually it is boring. I can't remember the last good UFC fight i actually saw. Maybee i just changed the channel before a good one took place because the one i watched sucked so bad, i don't know.

I undertsand that wrestling and submission takes a whole lot of skill, but they are just boring to watch.

You think it's ok for free shows to be better then $40 ppv. A good fight is a good fight I'm not knocking the free shows but Diego puts on a good show everytime, even though I hate the guy his fights are fun to watch. Diego/Karo and Diego/Diablo should have been ppv fights. They know he's exciting and those two fights would have made any of the last 4 ufc much better shows. Herman on the other hand can stay on the fight nights.

honestly, I dont give a shit how the UFC markets or puts on their shows....Champs fight on PPV, up and comers headline the free shows....seems to be the way they're doing things

and herman and grove put on one of the best fights i've seen in a while

30-26 was definitely a gift for him.

I thought Karo won the first two rounds. The best I can see it for Diego is a draw, if you give him a two point round in the third.

I just saw this fight again yesterday, so I was a little excited, it wasn't a gift, but I thought Karo was the pretty clear winner.

fair enough....and there is MMAs biggest draw back.....fights like that where there is no CLEAR winner or loser should be declared a draw

But Karo clearly won. Giving the fight to the other guy wasn't just wrong; it was corrupt.
