Here's a little information about bad backs, they don't exactly go away. If your back is fucked it will never go back to where it was. Syvia got outboxed and got his ass kicked against Couture, quite a bit different than what happened tonight. Couture is all around better on the feet than punching bag Nog. that poor guy is going to be sipping food through a straw after all is said and done.

It went away tonight .He performed better than he did against Couture.

But.It doesn't matter, they'll never fight anyway so this talk is pointless.Randy's going out with a bang later this year.

He can fight whoever he wants in any promotion he wants,he's a free agent he's not hiding behind anything. Its the fighter under the UFC slave contract that don't have that option .It seem that its the UFC fighters that are being protected

There is no way that Couture vs. Noguiera would be 25 minutes of stand up. It would hit the ground eventually.

ufc 81 had several very memorable moments.

The whole Mir/Lesnar spectacle, the main event, the guy pulling guard on the ref, "the throw", the awesome gullotine submission from that Brazilian guy, and Robert Emerson announced as "The Saint".

    from sherdog:

With a clear head, Nogueira slowed the pace of the fight in the second round and began out-boxing Sylvia with crafty footwork and pesky left jabs. His many takedown attempts were stuffed, but that didn't matter because the Brazilian, fighting out of Rio De Janeiro in a gym that houses the likes of Anderson Silva, was putting on a virtual boxing clinic

    wow.

The UFC does the opposite of protect fighters. DO you pay attention to this sport at all? :notallthere: Fedor isn't interested in fight real competition whether it's in the UFC or not. it's pathetic. It would be like Floyd Mayweather fighting Robert Frankel.

If that's the case then the Randy vs Fedor fight would of been made a long time ago.Fedor has the freedom to fight where and who he wants, a UFC fighter doesn't have that option which is why Randy left. The UFC and there slave contract is why they couldn't keep Randy or sign Fedor

PLEASE, Dan Henderson made his name in UFC before PRIDE, so should we consider him a UFC fighter when he won belts in PRIDE?

Are you kidding me?? Dana White has stated multiple times that he will NOT co-promote any fight. He know damn well that if he doesn't sign Fedor, its a losing situation. If Fedor were to beat his heavyweight champion, that will throw any legitimacy to the UFC heavyweight division out the window. In case you haven't been paying attention... Fedor and Randy are going to fight later this year, they just have to wait till Randy is free of that cunt Dana Whites grasp. Fedor and Randy are gonna do it without that bitch.

He only fought on one UFC card(UFC 17 in some tournament I think) before going to Pride.Pride is the promotion that made him well known and its where he established himself as a top fighter and that's where most of his fights was fought.

EDIT:And Dan is not a UFC Champion right now.

the point is, this Pride vs. UFC thing is stupid, it's the fighters that matter, not the organisations.

This was the best part of the PPV:

Couture acts like he's beaten everyone there is to beat at heavyweight and the only one worthy to face him his Fedor. I know he wants to go out on his last fight with a bang, but he could beat Fedor and it still won't make him the greatest heavyweight of all times. He's way too inconsistent and I know he's done some great things, but I don't get why people think he's one of the greatest fighters ever. He's been owned badly at both heavyweight and lightheavy and a lot of his status is unjustified.

coutures a great fighter but I think he would be the underdog against Fedor and Big Nog.He beat an injured Sylvia and a green Gonzaga that got whipped by Werdum and now everybody thinks he's god now.

When is an MMA fighter 100%? Seriously if you want to use injury excuses you can use it for every single fight for these guys. Anyone wonder why Couture took the Sylvia fight when most thought he couldn't win? it's because he owned his ass in training to.

The UFC does what it should do considering they are the premier organization in the sport. They don't protect fighters they have under contract though. They all fight each other and sometimes multiple times. if they were trying to protect certain people guys like Nogjackson and Silva wouldn't have gotten title shots so quickly.
