I think an Alves/GSP fight would be a great one.

How can they justify putting this bukkake on PPV?

Well, watching the end again, seems to me like a quit job from Cote... He acted like being shot, then you can see him walking ok. I mean he couldn't even fake well the limp. Seems like the boy folded under the pressure. Nice chin though, Silva connected him with a killer knee in the first and didn't even flinch.

Silva fought cautiously. He knew Cote can strike hard and have a hard chin.

Better then being some jackass who does nothing but cry about MMA, yet watches every single card.

Anyway, I didn't order the PPV, as I had something else to do last night. I did catch the very end of the Koshcheck\Alves fight, and the Silva fight on Sopcast.

Silva seemed uninterested throughout the fight, and probably could've ended the fight whenever he wanted if he pressed the action. It almost seemed like he allowed the fight to go on longer then it should have to justify putting the mismatch on PPV.

Unless the UFC can get Robbie Lawler to come back to face Silva, there really isn't much more they can do with him at 185. He's literally cleaned out the division, and in spite of him being the best P4P fighter in the world, there just isn't a marketable fight for him at 185.

That being said, if Forrest Griffin beats Evans, I think we'll see Griffin\Silva for the 205 belt at UFC 100.

I think you're wrong about that.

Several years ago I ruptured my MCL and ACL while playing football. When it happened it felt like someone shot me in the knee with a shotgun. For about a minute or so it was as painful as anything I've experienced. As the pain eased I was able to walk off the field without a real limp. I actually thought I could walk it off and go back in. Prior to the knee swelling, walking was painful but not impossible.

Last night when Cote stumbled on his knee in the 2nd round I turned to my brother and said "He just sprained his knee. He's gonna blow his knee out if he keeps going."

Griffin/Silva would be a very marketable fight. They'll save that for it's own ppv rather than clump it in with several other huge fights at UFC 100. As a promoter, that's what I'd do. Makes more business sense.

I tore up my mcl playing football too. To this day, I have never felt pain so intense. I remember falling and covering up, being in so much pain, just praying that nobody landed on me. Of course, since I had the ball, everybody landed on me.

After a few minutes I was able to get up and walk, but if I stepped wrong, down I went. That happened back in 91-92 or so, and my knee still pops out if I step wrong. Don't even get me started on cold rainy days.

UFC 94 is scheduled for January 31st, so at that pace, UFC 100 should be sometime in late spring, early summer.

And as seen with TUF, the UFC has no problem holding off fights. I expect UFC 100 to be a HUGE event, so I would think they'd want to hold off until then.

I thought Griffin was outrobbed robbed. Sherk got a couple of takedowns that didn't amount to much in the first round, and after that it was all standup, and Griffin was getting the better of it by far.

His defense was much better, Sherk was landing fuck all, and was being hit consistently by Griffin, and marked up.

It wasn't as dominant as Penn - Sherk of course, but Griffin was a clear winner. I can't fucking believe one retard had Sherk winning every round.

MMA judges are shit, they often don't know how to score a standup contest. It seems like they give credit for takedowns and little else.

Alves won as I expected, he is a fucking beast, but Koscheck is a very good fighter, and a real fighter, with heart. Very impressive he managed to last the distance.

I'd love to see Thiago - Pierre, he is the only fighter I give a chance to beat Georges.

Looked to me like Koscheck actually hurt Alves a few times.

And Silva pretty much ran for the first minute and 15 seconds of the first round. I had a bet that he'd finish Cote in the first, and then he fucking SHADOWBOXED for most of the first.:lol:

Pretty disappointing performance from Silva. Sure, he is a nice mover etc, but it's a fight, not a fucking dancing contest.

Boring fight. Luckily Griffin - Sherk and Alves - Koscheck were both good fights, despite Griffin being robbed.

Silva wanted to put on a show. Not end it too quickly and to just have fun. If he knew Cote would pop his knee, Silva would've gone for the finish at the opening bell. Cote had no shot anyway IMO.

Sherk easily won the fight. What the fuck are you guys smoking? You know takedowns count right? What the fuck did Tyson Griffin actually do to win rounds? He did nothing, Sherk was even landig more standing.

As for Silva, he straight up played with Cote. Looked like a dad playing with his little boy. Cote had no business being in the same ring as Silva. Silva toyed with him and still easily won the rounds. Cote couldn't land shit and he couldn't even get close. Anderson could have blasted him out at any time. He carried him, no doubt about it.

Yeah. I don't see how Griffin would have won. He was losing at his own game and hopefully he's humbled by this.

The people saying Tyson won obviously have no idea what they are looking at. Sherk won everywhere the fight went.

Except for standing up, which was the majority of the fight

Sherk was throwing a lot but landing fuck all, everytime Sherk threw, Tyson would move out of range or block the punches with his hands/arms.

Tyson clearly won the standup fight, and Sherk only got a couple of takedowns, which didn't amount to much. Tyson was a clear winner, he was landing flush every round, all of Sherk's punches were glancing blows AND he was landing less of them.
