If you weren't at all entertained by last night's card, you really need to stick to rooting for your favorite curling team.:cheer:

The main event was lopsided but it was still fun to watch a guy like GSP at the absolute top of his game. Likewise the Machida fight was one-sided. However, his style is so different from other fighters it was amazing to watch him pick Thiago apart.

Seriously to your point, overall 8 of the 10 fights on last night's card went to decision, which is odd. Only the co-main events ended short of the distance.

I am reading quite a bit of negativity torwards the card last night.

I agree with what Trplsec said, the to co main events were very entertaining.

Machida will get that belt soon, and will be a great champion. The guy has practically no hole in his game. His fighting IQ is great, he doesn't make mistakes or bad decisions. For those who think Thialgo Silva isn't good, you're foolish. He needs to be at 185 though.

Penn took a world class ass whupin, he needed it to bring his ego down a notch.

I would bet that we will see Jon Jones against a better opponent in the near future. He needs work, but the guy has tons of potential.

Parysian and the Korean was a bad fight, the first round was entertaining but the last round was close to unwatchable.

Diaz won that fight. Guida did have some awesome burps though. I have a feeling we won't see Guida on too many more televised ppv cards, Diaz will be back. REED is right though, he needs more core strength.

And for my Joe Rogan rant. This guy is a fucking retard. Did anyone else catch in the main event, GSP was on top and dropped a nice elbow, the crowd cheers. After the elbow lands BJ gets his guard back. Rogan says something along the lines of how this sport has evolved so much, the crowd just cheered that BJ got his guard back. I swear his cock was so far up BJ's ass he didn't know what was going on. I think it was hard for him to deal with BJ getting dominated the way he did:dunno:

Rashad will slam and ground and pound Machida in 2.

Machida will toy with Rashad and make him look very amateurish. Rashad won't win one round, I'd be suprised if he ever got one takedown.

I thought Guida won fairly clearly.

He has had awesome fights against Din Thomas, Tyson Griifin, and Roger Huerta, but lost all of them, I think that's why he is mor eboring nowadays, he just grinds out decisions.

    BAD Matchup for GSP...

GSP's "Weakness" is his Stand-Up, which is Anderson Silva's STRONG SUIT...As GREAT as GSP is @ Takedowns, he's UNproven Doing it Against BIGGER Men...

REED is Inclined to Rate GSP Higher, Pound for Pound, but Head to Head, it's a MISMATCH...Silva KO 1, KO 2 @ Most...He'd Catch GSP Attempting a Takedown w/KNEES/KICKS OR he'd Blast him Out w/his Boxing...

GSP Should Wait Until Silva Moves Up to 205 PERMANENTLY, B 4 Moving Up to 185 Himself...

You know what, that's exactly what I thought when I saw him next to GSP. It's not often that GSP's opponent looks bigger.

Thiago is the same height, but fucking HUGE.

Alves is the only guy around that stands a chance against GSP.

As MUCH as REED Looooooooooooves GSP, Pitbull Alves is a VERY Live Underdog...He'll Definitely TEST GSP N Ways that we have Yet to See....

About the main event, pretty obvious result really.

GSP is a beast these days, possibly the best in the world P4P, plus he's BIGGER than Penn.

Stupid fight for Penn to take. He took a proper beating, and was made to look inept. It's the kind of beating that can be hard to recover from.

Absolutely. He lacks GSP's finesse and isn't quite as complete, but shit, he is a beast in his own right.

I think GSP is probably the best fighter in the world, so he is the logical pick, but I wouldn't be remotely surprised if Alves won.

Considering How Much SHIT BJ was Talking, it's Gonna B Hard to Take Him Seriously the NEXT Time he's Spouting Off...That's Gonna B the HARDEST Part for him to Recover From....

But if he Moves Back to 155 & QUIETLY Dominates (Which he Should), this LOSS will B Forgotten N Due Time...

Joe King, are you talking a sig bet or what on the Rashad/Machida fight? Let me know, I'm game brother:partie:

REED, good call on GSP's weakness being standup. Anderson would keep this fight standing and absolutely dominate GSP. I like GSP, but its a horrible matchup for him. Thiago Alves is a beast in the stand up as well, his Muay Thai is brutal and he would be a hard guy to keep down for GSP. I would pick GSP, but yes, Thiago is a very live opponent and IMO, the only real challenge for GSP at WW.

Size & athleticism pure & simple. BJ would be best at 145lb if UFC carried the division, he's flabby at 155, lets face it. St.Pierre is huge at 170lb. These two guys are the best in the sport, p4p, but one guy is naturally 30lb bigger.

most definitely, good post. BJ is dominant at 155 but is still a little flabby. He would be as unbeatable as anyone can be at 145

Penn's pussy ass got stomped! Let's see him talk sh*t in future! His ass is done.

I didnt watch the card yet, I really wanted Penn to win but my head always knew it would be a huge ask for him to beat GSP. The dude is a monster at the weight IMO it will take the spider to defeat this guy.

Also Ive been telling all my friends Machida is the man - he will take over the LHW. Evans is a punk and will not hold that title for long.

Of course, he had to lose to a fucking guido of all people.

My favorite was Penn calling GSP "a little bitch" for tapping due to strikes.

Not a big deal statement until your forced to quit in your corner against that same 'little bitch'.

Paraphrasing Some of his Quotes from "UFC Primetime-St. Pierre vs. Penn"...

"I'm Willing to Go to the Death...George, I'm Willing to Go to the Death...I'm Gonna Try to KILL YOU in there, George. And I'm Dead Serious."

"George, you and Me KNOW Who the REAL Fighter is. I was the REAL Fighter that Night." (Talking about their 1st Bout)

"George is a QUITTER. Against Matt Serra he Rolled Over, Turned his Head and was Ready to Tap the Mat. When have U Ever Seen Me Turn my Head, Ready to Tap the Mat? To Me, Anybody that Does that is a Little BITCH."

"Go FUCK Yourself Firaz" (To GSP's Head Trainer)

"What's George Gonna Do when he Realizes I'm 10 Times FASTER than him. You Can't Hit what U Can't Catch."

Those R Just Off the Top of REED's Head, but there was More...

I quite enjoyed the card...the main event was a little disappointing but i was really impressed by Jones and Machida

Jones is very special.....he is only 21......even if he loses fights along the way, by the time he reaches 25, 26....he is gonna be scary.

Machida has impressive timing and footwork....he's likely to beat anyone who comes at him....Rashad could be tricky though cos he likes to counter too
