Except apart from that one incident, Yager seems cool, I've changed my mind, I like him :kidcool:

    He might win too.

I just watched a few episodes. I think TUF has been played out already and they should stop it.

GSP will be the coach of the next series and fight the winner of Daley/Koscheck but that will only put him on the shelf for the next 7 months. In two years, he will have had 3 fights. Crappy for the 2nd biggest headliner in the company.

As many injuries as they have had this year their insurance company may soon drop them.

Court needs to get his ears trimmed. I could see them being problematic in his MMA future.

I think it's generally more appropriate to judge people at their worst than at the best. But I agree that Yager does seem pretty cool most of the time. It's just that what he and the others did was such a douche move that I'm not going to swich sides, yet. haha And, of course, editing can have a lot to do with it.

I thought Otis Griffin (our very own) came across as a dipshit back on The Next Great Champ, but he seems very cool and genuine here and I like him just fine. So, maybe I'll change with Yager someday, too. But until then, I'll be hoping he gets smashed.

Hell, the way Otis has dealt with his losses has made me respect him quite a bit.

    ...and Canadian.

Honestly I kind of feel bad for the dude. He obviously has promise. He was offered a place in the Bellator Season 2 tourney at the same time TUF was cast. He chose the UFC. But a 2nd ACL reconstruction means the end of his MMA career in my opinion.

Apparently when he tore his knee up before, he tried pro boxing and went 4-1.

I can't imagine relying on BJJ in an MMA fight with bad knees.

Typically I wouldn't disagree. But in the case of Nick Ring, you got to hear an Orthodpedic Surgeon explain exactly what the situation was with his knee.

To me, it wasn't even a choice. If an MRI shows that I've got a torn ACL, and the doctor tells me by fighting I could damage the cartillage and possibly do a little bone-on-bone grinding, I don't even think twice. I'm done. And I guarantee you that there isn't an honest doctor around that wouldn't tell Ring that he was absolutely nuts if he chose to continue in TUF.

I personally think it was a little douchbaggy of Dana White to make Ring tell him that he wasn't going to continue. White knew what the doctor said. This isn't the same as Kimbo having a little arthritis in his knee during last season and not wanting a second chance. Ring is facing another ACL reconstruction just to try and keep his MMA career alive.

Ring might be gay for a number of reasons including blowing dudes, but he isn't gay for opting NOT to continue in TUF.

But Didn't the Dr. Said he COULD Fight On, but that he was RISKING Fuuuurther Damage???...A 2nd or 3rd Reconstruction Seems like a Career Ender ANYWAYS, so Why Not Go Out FIGHTING???...

By NO Means is REED 1 of these Ride or Die WARRIORS & Dick Ring would EASILY Whip REED's Ass, but if Your Career is Basically Over EITHER WAY, Why NOT Go Out Fighting???....

Some of the toughest men on the planet, like Arturo Gatti (the real one), GSP, Steve_Dave etc. are/were Canadians, so I don't know what the f he is talking about.

    Good point.

You know something funny that hit me after reading this. I am a bit of a hypocrite.

I have literally played in 3 flag football tournaments with a ruptured ACL with full knowledge that there is risk of much more serious damage (i.e. tearing other ligaments, vascular damage, bone damage, etc).

Obviously the chance of Ring doing serious damage is far greater in an MMA cage than in a FF tournament. But on the flip side, he is competeing for a 6 figure UFC contract, and I was playing for a $3 trophy and a tee shirt.

I'm still not saying it makes him a pussy, but I can see your point.

I'd have gone with Chuvalo or Bronko Nagurski, but Steve is close.

    Agree 100%
The "doctor" is obviously in a biased position when it comes to making the call whether to fight. If a guy can't even walk then how the hell can you expect him to fight.
