The fights that stick out in my mind are Guida vs Pettis and Guida vs Nate Diaz and both of them were shit to watch. You refer to his overall record which doesn't really say much. His previous 8 fights went UD3 Danzig, SD3 Diaz, L choke 2 Florian, Arm Triangle 2 Gugerty, submission 3 dos anjos, Guillotine 2 Gomi, W3 Pettis Guida has had maybe 2 or 3 stoppages due to punches in his career. He's never lost by strikes. Henderson doesn't win punches by strikes, either. The fight was destined to be a decision and it was. You don't throw sure decision fights to new fans. At least not if you are trying to get new fans. And no, I don't remember all of these fights listed even if I've seen most of them. That's one of the things with mma...unless you see something unique, it all blends. What didn't blend in my mind was the fact that he could make a Pettis fight boring.
Translation: Mike watched the Pettis-Guida fight and was bored so automatically Guida is a boring fighter. By the way, Diaz-Guida was a great fight. It was awarded fight of the night on a card that included Bonnar-Jon Jones, Machida-Silva and the Penn-GSP rematch. Do yourself a favor, go actually watch a fight before spewing any more garbage. Guida isn't a fan favorite because he's boring. He's a favorite because he has non-stop motor and isn't afraid to trade with superior strikiers.
Really? Henderson-Rua went the decision. Didn't Bonnar-Griffin also go to a decision? Sometimes the best fights go the distance. Now you're just becoming a clown.
Now you're just being a retard. Bonnar/Griffin? Really? You thought that fight was exciting? Thanks for the astute observation. The idea that distance fights can be exciting proves nothing, shill. However, you don't put up fights that are destined to be decisions in front of new fans and expect to win them over. It's not that hard to understand. The fact that you wanted to see Guida vs Henderson is understandable. You aren't a new fan.
I am with you. The dude is relentless in his attack. He is one of very few guys that is alway coming forward regardless of the opponent. Not to mention his 'power double' or tackle as I call it, is as good as it gets in MMA.
They end before the distance when he is getting tapped out like 10 times already. Silva will clown this hype job in the rematch.
