I dunno about other countries but would guess it's similar besides from canada and maybe the UK. But in Germany maybe 5 people know Ole Bischoff (I bet you dunno him either) he won Gold in judo - nobody outside Japan knows any Judo guys. And nobody here knows Rousey. I'm glad she get's ridiculous press in the states but that's it. I've only ever heard of Rousey because of MMA - medaled in the Olympics is actually kinda ridiculous, if you think that gives you any type of relevance with the shitload of medals they got. I bet most people don't remember the guy who got bronce in the fucking 100 meters.
I wasn't aware Fightbeat was the home of the spokesman for "Most People". However, now armed with that knowledge, I will be far more careful in my use of hyperbole and probably run it by you first. :)
No need to be ironic here - I don't wanna discredit you or Rousey in any way - it's just the way it is, she is not known at all outside the US and that goes even for the biggest male UFC athletes, too. Besides maybe the UK I doubt they're very well known but of course I can only speak for Germany without a doubt. The media attention is huge in the states - but not so much everywhere else.
ha. funny. How do I attach a picture if it says i only have about 3 kb's available? Trust me, I have a good one for this thread.
You don't, you link to it. Fightbeat has never supposed attachments, because of the Fisher Price server and Chinese knock off software.
