This fight was excellent in comparison to the other fights on the same card.

Being a Guy who can APPRECIATE Production Value, REED Looooooved the WEC Show...

1st & Foremost it's a "SHOW" So Certain Elements SHOULD B "Over the Top"....Pre-Fight Promo's, Flashy Haircuts or Hairstyles, "BIG" Ring Entrances, etc...

Faber's Entrance was DOPE...Walking Out to "California Love" by Tupac & Dr. Dre, Rocking BRAIDS, Certainly DIDN'T Hurt his Perception N REED's Eye's:kidcool:...

REED is Always Intrigued by THE WAY Guys Carry Themselves when they Fight @ Home...Some Guys R Toooooo TENSE, Some Guys R Toooooo LOOSEY-GOOSEY & it COSTS Them...But Faber Straddled that Line PERFECTLY...

He was California Cool til the Bell Ring, then he Fought w/CONTROLLED Intensity....He GENUINELY Embraced Fighting @ Home & it was Cool to See him Enjoying Himself...It Probably FUELED his Performance Somewhat...Faber's Not an ASSHOLE about it, but he DOES Fight w/a Tinge of SWAGGER, which REED Always Likes N an Athlete...

Dude has OBVIOUS Star Quality & he can FIGHT...He'll Appeal to the Shaun White/X-Games Crowd, the Females & Some of the Brothers, if Marketed Properly...But he's Gonna Have to Do that N the Featherweight Division, Cause he's a LITTLE Dude...

The Bout Itself Wasn't QUITE as Action Packed as REED Thought it would B, but that WASN'T Faber's Fault...He was Always a Step AHEAD of Pulver...Pulver had his Moments, but he NEVER Seemed N "Control" to REED...He Never WENT for it N the Way a Wanderlei Silva does...& After Awhile, U Could SEE that he Knew he COULDN'T Beat Faber....

Faber's Got GOOD Athleticism & he Utilizes it AGGRESSIVELY...REED Doesn't Know Much about the Rest of Featherweight Division, but it's Gonna Take Somebody VERY GOOD to Beat Faber...He's a Tad OLDER than REED Thought, but he's Still Only ENTERING his Prime Or Perhaps Even Slightly PRE-Prime...Obviously, 20-1 is an AWESOME MMA Record, so who BEAT this Guy??...& HOW???...

He lost to Tyson Griffin, who is also a bad little dude. He fights at 155 in the UFC now. He had that epic battle with Guida recently.

Tyson Griffin yep, who seems like a good fighter, but I have only seen him fight Faber.

From what I saw though (crap video) he seemed to handle faber pretty decisively.

I'd like to see a rematch though.

I'm pretty sure the fight took place at 155, and Griffin is a strong 155'er. I think he was just too strong for little Faber. Most good 155lbers will be, he's tiny.

I didn't know the fight was at 155, I thought it was at his normal weight.

I totally agree though, I said as much to Trplsec who suggested faberdude should go to 155.

It would be like hatton at 147. Faber is that kind of guy, a beast in his own weight class, but would be nowhere near as effective if he moved up.

He's just too small, he looks tiny even for a 145 pounder.

Faber is also much better than he was when he lost to Griffin.

The fight with Griffin was at 145. I'm pretty sure Griffin was forced to cut weight last minute after originally agreeing to fight at 155.

Good to see you liked the show. Faber is one of my favs. BTW, Faber got caught on a counter from a missed superman punch. Not much anyone could do about that one.
