Those Qualities (AND LOADED HANDWRAPS) were Enough to Beat Miguel Cotto...REED DIDN'T Think Margarito would Beat Cotto & THE ONLY Reason he Did was Because of the BLOODY, PLASER INSERTS Found in EACH of his Handwraps Prior to the Sugar Shane Fight (THANKFULLY)... The disconnect is if you're saying he was using wraps before and during the Cotto fight, then whatever visible qualities Margarito had during the Cotto fight were evident before fight.
Right about him being a cheater? I didn't know we had any conversations about that. Or was it the "unimpressed" factions belief that, for whatever reason, Margarito would have a reduction in his, I don't konw, heavy-handedness against Mosley for some other reason?
1st of All, REED PICKED Shane Mosley to BEAT Margarito...2nd, the "Unimpressed" Factinon was RIGHT N their Assessment of Margarito...He WASN'T the Elite Level, Impenetrable Force that Everybody SWORE was Being "Ducked"....& to Make it WORSE, there's a VERY GOOD Chance he was LOADING His Gloves ALL ALONG... But if Margarito was cheating before the Mosley fight, you didn't know about it. And you also didn't know that Margarito would be caught cheating before that fight. So if he was using illegal hand wraps he was a better, perhaps much much better, fighter than he was without illegal wraps...something he didn't have against Mosley.
Perhaps... But he was Only "Better" to the Point of Actually IMPRESSING REED 1nce, N a MEANINGFUL Fight...REED Knowing or NOT Knowing about the Plaster Like Inserts is of NO Consequence, as REED was CONSISTENTLY UNimpressed Pretty Much All Along.... REED:hammert:
It's of consequence if it impacted his performances up to, but not including, the Mosley fight. And my point is, knowing should have some consequence...on your opinion, on everybody's opinion about Margarito. Margarito was ranked the number one welterweight (by many, not all, some had Williams there b/c of the head-to-head), a p4p fighter, and a candidate for fighter of the year last year. So if you think he was using "Plaster Like Inserts" for the Cotto fight, and before, then in your mind there was no change between the Margarito that fought Cotto and the one that fought previously.
