but he got that emeritus status... why not using it :dunno:

I know Ibra-Holy would be the easier choice but then people would mock him for that - either way Vitali's stand in the boxing world right now isn't easy. I for once experience some back trouble over the last month so i can tell it's some shit and it can occur just out of nowhere even if u don't train wrong or train nothing or train to hard, don't matter...

So his backed fucked it up again sure looks stupid but he doesn't do it to piss boxing fans off i can assure u that he would RATHER box mcCline as a tune-up on the scheduled day!

    OH FUCK OFF!!!!

The reason Fatso and Maskaev are fighting so late is cos that fat dumb lazy fat fuck Sam Peter needed two attempts to beat that other fat lazy dumb fat fuck James Toney.

If he had managed to beat a former middlweight {instead of losing and getting a draw} he might have got hisself a title shot easier. You can't lose-win-draw-win and expect to make things any easier for yourself.

Sam Peter ain't no babe-in-the-woods. Fuck him if he feels hard done by.

I knew you'd be the first one whining, and that you'd also miss the point.

I mean seriously, I called it like I saw it when Viv got knocked out last week, and also with his absurd string of excuses earlier this week. Surely you can see just a little bit of humor and irony and all of this.

For the record, there are very few heavyweights I care to root for. Sam Peter is nowhere near that very short list. In fact, I'm rooting for Maskaev to beat him one way or another (though rooting more for a draw, no-contest or double knockout). But regardless of how people scored the first Peter-Toney fight (and I had Toney winning), the fact is he was declared the winner and that it was a WBC eliminator. Sulaiman ordered the rematch only to appease Vitali, whose comeback was already being rumored. From there, Maskaev was granted an optional defense against that scrub, then pursued the Vitali fight... we all know the rest.

To answer your other question, Viv just fought last weekend. Before that he fought in February. Before that, he fought last July. Before that, he fought last January. Before that, he fought in June 2005.

Five fights since the last time your hero managed to limp his ass through the ropes.

The point is that Sam Peter is painfully incapable of handling his own affairs in a manner that becomes a man with Challenger aspirations. Once he messes up of his own accord, he can't later moan and bitch about the machinations of others. He done blew it by losing/drawing with Toney.

    & What EXACTLY has Vitali Done to B a Man w/"Challenger Aspirations"???:dunno: ...

String Along Hasim Rahman for a Year???...String Jameel McCline Along for a Length of Time???...

There is NO Defending the Actions of Vitali the Last Couple Years:nono: ...The Guy wants THE EASIEST Road Possible to a Title Shot & the FACT that he's had more Cancellations/Postponements than Actual FIGHTs Over the Last couple Years, Doesn't Bother him (or YOU Either,Apparently) N the Least:rolleyes: ...

He's the Type of Fighter that TURNS OFF Real Boxing Fans...Ultimately, just Get N the Fucking Ring & FIGHT...Vitali CAN'T Even Get that Shit Right...

I think Vitali just wants that WBC title, and then use it as leverage in a way to get Lewis to return for a big money championship rematch. :dunno:

The dude has a really bad back. He has decent stamina but Peter showed a lot of improvement beating a fatToney. With a history of KO loses, you have to go with Peter

That´s why the Klitschkos hold their tomato can fights in Munich, lots of rich, stupid wannabe celebrities, who pay 1000 Euros to sit in the front row for Wladimir vs. Fabio Moli with an undercard not good enough for a backyard event. I enjoyed it, when Moli took a dive after a few seconds and all these cunts were upset. Same stuff happened against Ray Austin or Axel Schulz vs. Brian Minto.

No real fight fan pays that amount of money for these shitty cards with shitty main events, so this doesn´t bother me at all. It sucks that a Showtime date gets cancelled, where they could have televised another fight, but otherwise I couldn´t care less.

well i'm picking Peter by KO, but i would not be shocked if his fat lethargic ass somehow screws it up and lets maskaev take him to school.

plus, mccall's not getting a title shot anytime soon. i think gomez is going to beat him again when they fight later this year.

i would certainly pick gomez to beat maskaev, but would pick peter to knock him out.

The other three have a greater chance of actually showing up on fight night. Quite a statement considering how much of a loose cannon McCall's been over the years.

His body can't take the rigors anymore.

    He should hang em up.

Wlad is doing fine, and he's the one relevant Klitschko right now.

Nothing, outside of the slim technicality of an "Emeritus Status", the proven past legal efficacy of same {aka Precedent} and his status as a 2 time World Heavyweight champ who, after a briefly exciting career, seeks a return to the division. Come backers have ALWAYS gotten away with shit. And I agree, Vitali is wearing my patience down.

Fuck Haseem Rahman and fuck Jameel McCline. When you have blown it as often as they have, you don't get too much sympathy. What did Rock Ultimately do? Drew with Toney and got wasted by Old Ass Oleg. PS what the fuck is a "length of time".

Agree and Disagree with you here. His title shot got sprung on him, that can be a mixed blessing. Its not like he had the same psychological prep that comes with a 10 week camp for a title fight. He trained for Cedric Boswell and he got Lennox Lewis. And thats to mention nothing of the brutal nature of the Lewis fight and the efforts he had to go {waiting on Lenny and then the Sanders issue which carried some major emotional baggage:nono: with it too} just to get the belt. Not saying it was the hardest ever but it sure weren't no one-off fight with John Ruiz, like some:nono: :nono:

Total bullshit. There was nothing off putting about his fights with Lewis, Johnson, Sanders, Williams. In fact they were sold out events. Real fights. No running for 12 against a glorified Cruiser. Its only this recent spell, which, ironically, as you are at pains to point out, involves NO FIGHTING whatsoever, that has pissed people off.

Unless they had ulterior and pre-existing agendas, that is.

Vitali's fight against Williams was the first time HBO lost money on a PPV ever.

    Some good points...but "recent spell?"

We are going on THREE YEARS with this garbage.

That is worse than what happened with Tszyu and Lewis.

Yes, it's not about his fights themselves....but people are getting tired of his "comebacks" which aren't comebacks....and his attempt to continue to secure TOP fights from his recovery room when they are basically unearned....and then when he doesn't come through on them.

It's Peter Cry Wolf...and with so many disappointments Vitali has worn out his welcome.

    It gets old.

He needs to hang 'em up.

    Peace.

It really bring a smile to my face to know that Vitali's career basically went to shit after he disrespected Lennox Lewis after their fight in 2003.
