No bias here. I actually like Froch... he's much more likeable than Ward. Ward was simply the better fighter.

Bullshit. Froch lost seven of the first eight clearly. The last four were all arguably Froch's- the last two were clearly Froch's in fact. There is no case to be made for Froch winning more than five rounds, but he certainly could have won five.

As I said, I scored the round for Froch.

except for the fact that you are attributing Ward's winning solely to fouling

You hate British fighters, period. And yes, Ward was better. No doubt about it. But Sky's broadcast was still a shambles.

    Froch is better than Honeyghan.

If Curry is 100%, Honeyghan never accomplishes a damn thing.

P4P, Froch would beat the hell outta a 40% Donald Curry.

I had him out of gas by the 10th, and his mouth was open as early as the 2nd or 3rd. Look at Froch in the 11th, he is stood right up, and seems far more content with proceedings. It's what makes me wonder about Ward, historically, take away his batteries, and you get Retard Bunny, not Duracell. 15 rounder and that guy is in serious difficulty. If he does less work to conserve some gas, he risks letting it get close on the cards.

He deserved the win tonight but I expected him to finish much stronger, in fact I picked him for a TKO12, as a desperate Froch lunged in, but in the 11th and 12th there was nothing there for Ward, and the gumshield was a bad sign.

No. It's hard to see clearly when the pom poms are out in full force. It's cool.

beat me to it. starling had been retired for years by the time he got to the age tarver was when he suffered the loss in question. the other loss mentioned, he avenged. brutally.

Yes, but so does Ward, no? He finished stronger vs Bika and Abraham than he started. Kessler fight finished early, he was largely in charge there anyways.

Terrible pick, considering Ward doesn't even stop guys like Green.

Froch will watch this fight and kick himself. Ward was dead tired and Froch allowed him to rest when he wanted to rest.

BTW...Froch only looked good late because Ward turned into a counterpuncher early...ward looked great early (like rounds 1 thru 8) because he's better skilled and an all around better fighter than froch.

Yeah none of those guys can compare to Ward.

As I said earlier, I think Ward has now proven enough to be considered p4p the 3rd best fighter in the world behind Mayweather and Pacquiao.

I think he's without a doubt the best at 168. He would beat Bute convincingly and I have no doubts he'd be able to succesfully move up and beat either Dawson or Pascal. He'd also send Hopkins into permanent retirement if that fight was to ever get made.

Yeah Martinez should also stay well away from 168. He wouldn't be able to handle Ward.

It was a close fight, Ward deserved the win, but the rounds were close and Ward was fading at the end. As for Watt, he routinely draws the ire of the UK and Irish fan-base, I fail to see why that's even up for discussion.

Yup, Ward has accomplished more than Maravilla.

    He's the P4P #3.

In fact, at this point, he's probably a BETTER fighter than Pac.

Yep. Only a matter of time before that came out.

Wladimir Klitschko is ahead of Ward on the pfp list, for fucks sake. Vitali probably is too.

Has Ward even knocked anyone out recently?

Fair assessment, although I wouldn't exactly consider it close.

But yeah, Watt should have scored the 11th for Froch.

It was not a close fight. Ward clearly won seven of the first eight rounds...clearly. I had him winning the first eight.

Froch made a good account of himself but it was not a close fight.

Khan vs Peterson was a close fight.

    This one was not.

Everybody's favorite journeyman knocked Jones practically dead within a few months of this "incredible achievement" of Tarver's... Tarver couldn't even look impressive for the third Jones fight, he won by a wide margine, impressing no one (except maybe you and X) in the process... Tarver was a one trick pony who lucked out with Roy Jones turning to a shaky pile of wet shit overnight

Jones looked like absolute fucking GARBAGE the first time they fought and Tarver still couldn't win

Ward has at least two better wins than anyone Wlad or Vitali have defeated throughout their entire careers.

I'm not sure where I'd put Ward, but I think he's a better fighter than Sergio Martinez, for example.

Froch is not better than Honeyghan... He simply is NOT, and I absolutely hate Lloyd Honeyghan

If Curry is 100%, Honeyghan loses and remains a contender capable of beating the guys he beat, he has an extra L on his record, it doesn't make him a lesser fighter

    He also beat Kessler.

    Kessler>>>>>> Pavlik

That trumps Martinez (the consensus P4P #3) best win.

Khan Peterson was a close fight on the cards, but not really anywhere else. I only scored the first round 10-9 for Khan because I didn't think either KD was a KD and the judges could have made the same decision for themselves.

This was a close fight because Ward tired and hadn't gotten Froch out of there. Some of the rounds were scrappy awkward affairs and a swipe of a pen one way was as easy as a swipe of the pen the other.
