The Fighters that GGG NEEDS, to Acquire the Lineal Championship/Full Unification ARE NOT INTERESTED in Fighting Him...Did You MISS That Part???...It's Pretty Obvious To All BUT Those that Can't THINK Their Way Out of a Wet Paper Bag, Which Includes YOU, Apparently...Gotcha!!!... Did YOU Want to See GGG vs. Willie Monroe, Jr. or Osamanu Adama???...How Fucking "Compelled" were YOU by Geale, Rubio or Macklin as Opponents for GGG???...Nonetheless, ALL of those Bouts were HBO Televised and Did Respectable Ratings, Right???...Point Being, if GGG's Moving UP a Weight Class, Pursuing ANOTHER World Title, People WILL Watch...& if he KO's Supermiddles to the Degree he Does 160lb'ders, the Following will Only INCREASE w/Each Win... Felix Trinidad ACTIVELY Pursued a Fight w/Hopkins...Hell, Trinidad ASSumed he'd Beat Hopkins and OPENLY Talked of Fighting Roy Jones @ 168, Prior to BHop Stopping Him...Beyond that, Bernard DID NOT Tie or Set the Middleweight Defense Record, by Beating Tito Trinidad...Soooooo, Not Really Sure HOW Trinidad was Supposed to MAKE the Flimsy Ass "Point" You Attempted, Because Again, he WANTED to Fight Hopkins (Neither Cotto NOR Canelo Have Shown the SLIGHTEST Inclination to Facing GGG) and NO Middleweight Title Defense Records were Tied or Broken that Night...USELESS "Point" on Your Part...Gotcha!!!.... Andre Ward COULDN'T Draw Maggots to a Rotting Carcass, but it's NOT Like he'd Be the A-Side of a GGG Promotion Either...What Ward DOES Bring (Undeniably) is LEGITIMACY...VALIDATION...He's Ranked NO WORSE than 2nd in the World on the MAJORITY of Lb for Lb Lists...Sorry, but Shit like that STILL Matters in the Sport of Boxing...Held in MUCH Higher Regard than Consecutive Defense Records Within a Single Division (or Being a Lineal Champion of One), for CERTAIN....Moreso, Ward is Probably the ONLY Other Guy GGG Could Realistically Fight on PPV, Considering how Shitty the Lemieux Sales Were (Since AGAIN, Neither Cotto NOR Canelo are Interested in Facing Him)... @ NO Point has REED EVER Portrayed Himself as Some Type of Andre Ward FAN, but Leave it to YOU to ASSume that's his Angle Here...On Another Thread, REED Stated he Thinks GGG Should Fight OTHER Beltholders @ '68 1st, Even Milking a Few Defenses PRIOR to Facing Ward...But Please Don't Allow the TRUTH to Get in the Way of your Messageboard Idiocy.... CLEARLY, REED's Struck a Nerve, Because Now You're Taking Shots @ Someone You Know NATHAN about, NEVER Seen, etc...Worse, You Actually Think REED Gives a Fuck, or is Somehow Perturbed by Your Unfounded Opinion of a Person he May or May Not Even Be w/Anymore...Appreciate your Concern Though!!!.....Say WHATEVER You Want, Twerp...You're Still the SAME Pedophilic Boxing Fan w/the Disturbing Affinity for DIAPERWEIGHT Fighters that You Were Years Ago...The Question Is, Have You Figured Out WHAT Race You Are Yet, or Will You Still LIE and Claim to Be a "Brother"???.... For Your OWN Sake, Please DON'T Bring 2001 Arguing Tactics to a 2015 Messageboard Exchange w/REED...Step your Game Up, Playboy...Different Messageboard, SAME Twerp... REED:mut:
Ward has been inactive for two or three years and he needs 5 more tune ups so what does GGG fighting Adama or Geale have to do with anything? When was this fight supposed to have happened before now and what was so special about it that it could be made while Ward couldn't fight anyone else in the world? Truth be told Ward has been using GGG's name to keep himself relevant while his career stalled. It's sorta worked because that's the only context you ever hear him mentioned. You're saying "Oh well, Cotto and Canelo won't fight him, it's a free country. They can do what they want. Better move on." Even though they're all in the same division, everyone wants to see it and it would be a huge fight for boxing. Then you're jumping up and down for GGG to man up and move up in weight for a fight that you admit Golovkin would have to sell himself. It just doesn't make logical sense... And no, beating Ward doesn't raise GGG's profile as much as beating cotto/canelo because no one remembers or cares about him. To much of the casual audience the hype about this being "Golovkin's biggest test to date" will sound like something they've heard before and Ward and the euros he beat 5 years ago aren't go to ring that many bells. You should be calling out Cotto and Canelo to man up and fight GGG setting up a Ward fight, setting up a Kovalev fight. Did the big white woman take your house, Reed? Your family warned you.
if the winner of november 21 wont fight golovkin soon after they'll be stripped of that belt. he'll be able to unify, regardless. at what point do you maintain "lineal champ" status if you refuse to fight the other top guy? ::
I wish he would though, because if Floyd still has anything left, he'd beat GGG. GGG isn't much taller than Floyd, has same reach, isn't particularly fast, is orthodox, is patient...his style is made for Floyd. It'll be another Mayweather clinic.
To beat THE Floyd, you have to either have an advantage in both height, reach and Speed and be a master boxer yourself (Leonard, Hearns....De La Hoya) or be an awkward FAST southpaw (Whitaker, Pacquiao...Zab Judah) or just a crazy volume punching innovative stamina daddy (Aaron Pryor). Anyone within two inches of his height, similar reach, 10lbs of his weight, orthodox stance, straight forward style, with slower punches and/or is economical in their punching...is tailor made for Floyd's pot-shotting, shoulder roll, hit and move style. Remember Mayweather is a ring general with great footwork, balance, defensive and offensive reflexes. To beat him you can't be straight up and down with no special effects (copywright Mayweather). It's a simple analysis of styles and abilities...it's science not "nuthugging". The Sly One is educating y'all, be thankful!!
Before you start to claim you were just joking, you forget two things: footwork is different from foot speed. GGG isn't fast but his footwork is splendid, better than Cotto's who trapped Floyd several times. Floyd needs to get his opponent to respect his quick counters, as he did with Pac (and same as Roy vs Ruiz). I am not sure if he can here
I'm not joking...exaggerating to cause trouble, but not kidding. I think Floyd could and may beat GGG. I would pick Floyd if the fight happened....but it would be a difficult fight for him no doubt. You make valid points...still I think Although Floyd was indeed trapped by Cotto, he had no fear of Cotto's strength and so was more willing to engage with him on the ropes and in the corners than he would against GGG. Still, the main thing is this.....
Floyd couldn't make Maidana miss consistently and he got hurt at least twice by a guy half his size that barely hit him...
Floyd got hit by Emanuel Burton/Augustus all night long, but against Corrales he didn't receive even a scratch. When an elusive guy faces a guy they know can hurt them, they are even more elusive. You can't EVER go by just one fight.
Watching GGG vs LePeux and GGGayBoyz and Ward Haters won't like what I'm going to say. I don't see anyway GGG could beat Ward. He's better suited staying at 160 feasting for scraps against Canelo or Cotto. As good as GGG's jab is, he doesn't get past Ward's jab. What is Ward 6'0" or 6'1"? GGG's fought tall guys before but none of them had the skill set or pedigree as Ward. The main issue I've had and still have with GGG is that he doesn't move his head at all. It's always square in the center. Just don't see him getting past Ward's jab. The height difference, the jab all means GGG has to give up his balance to press forward to get his shots off. It's safe to say that Ward is the stronger of the two and would easily tie him up if he got inside. Sorry GGGayBoyz. Don't see a win in the crystal ball...mainly because GGG has no intention to move up in weight. He'll wait alright...wait on Canelo or Cotto to throw him a bone.
Wards moving to 175 anyways so it's not really relevant. GGG isn't even that big at 160, if he moved up and had lost to Ward big deal. He should lose that fight considering size and speed. Not to mention the fact that Ward would get as dirty as needed.
I'm a Golovkin fan, and no fan of Ward, and I've said this all along. Ward is simply too big for Golov. HOWEVER, I'm on record as saying that Kov will be the man to beat Ward. He has all the tools to do so.
In a Lb for Lb Sense, Floyd BEATS GGG More Times than Not... "However", NO Version of the 147-154lb Floyd We've Seen has a PRAYER of Beating GGG...Not Even w/a Catchweight...EVER... REED:nono:
Beating GGG Would Be THE Signature Win of Floyd's Career, Which is Saying a LOT, Given the Weight Classes he's Campaigned @ and What he's Accomplished...If Floyd Beat GGG, Devoid of Controversy, REED Would Actually Co-Sign on that "T.B.E." Bullshit, Even PURCHASING Merchandise... But REED is Quite Comfortable Going THAT Faaaaaaaaaar Out on a Limb, Because there's NOfuckingCHANCE in Hell of Floyd Facing GGG...It Goes Against EVERYTHING Floyd has Represented, Since the Hatton KO... AIN'T Happening...Period...It's as Likely as Floyd vs. Wlad.... REED:hammert:
The flaw with this meme is that Floyd's head can move all it wants. His body won't move. And we all know Golov's money punch. It's not a head shot. It's the hook to the body. Furthermore, if that crude BUM Maidana can land a number of clean right hands on Floyd, you REALLY are delusional enough to think Golov won't land? And pleaseeeee, SPARE US that groupie bullshit about Floyd only getting hit when he chooses to get hit. He wasn't nailed by Maidana by CHOICE.
