Weakest correlation between punch power and KO Percentage.

    A lot of the old time fighters had lower knockout percentages than their power suggested.

    Possibly trying to preserve their hands since they fought so often, refs slower to stop fights, carrying opponents on Mob orders (Ray Robinson was known to do this a lot).

    Surely KO's result in wins rather than Wins resulting in KO's :lol:

    Freddie Pendleton had a genuinely big right hand but was badly matched and usually against bigger men or fresher men and so his KO percentage is in the 70's

    Dick Tiger seems like a good one. His KO percentage was only 33% but he had heavy hands and was pretty feared.

    Excellent call.

    Ray Robinson, a paltry 54% despite starting at Welter and fighting ATG Middles at Middle in THEIR prime and knocking lots of them out too.

    Plus a lot of them were having to fight good fighters multiple times rather than once

    yup... he was very heavy handed and a guy it was known you couldn't trade with
