Doing the 7s, but I cheated and put a 2.5lber in with the 10. It wasn't much of a change, so I'm going to see what I can get away with and how often. I'm still going to do at least 3 sets a day. I do chins without weight at work, and I do chins with weight at home.
LOK, how long till you think you'll be able to do 6 sets of 6 chins with a 90lb weight belt?? like bigdawg used to do what about you Buddy?
i could do it now but do not have a weight belt i got a backpack I been putting dumbells in but it kinda blws.. really invcortbale with dumbells in your back
I'm doing sets of 6 with 20lbs + bodyweight, but I do them widegrip. I could handle more weight for more reps if I chose to do them closegrip because it puts my biceps in a stronger pulling position.
for some gay reason my left bicep hurts like hell if i do weighted chins....this is with a close grip maybe i gotta start doing wide grip to take some strain away from it sucks
Rest it. You might have strained a muscle, and if you try to overexert it, you might tear a bicep like I did when I was a teenager. Not fun.
thanks for the tip...for how long you think? annoying cos i was just going to get back into doing them daily...guess i'll keep away from chins for a bit then and just do dips and and hspu's
only your left? maybe you hurt it doing something else? I dont see how one would hurt.. unless it was injured already I'd rest a full week or so, no curling, back or any pulling exercises..
