Not only is it your idea but you've got the thumbs up from everybody.

No more discussion is needed, pick the fight and post the thread.

True but in my defense it was a contentious fight that is readily available on YT. The idea was for everyone to watch and post cards for comparisons and debate.

Duran won no more than 5 rounds against Marvin btw.

Maybe we should create a poll on particular fights and have people select (say open the poll til sunday), then from the following week begin?

i think this should work like a Book of the month club where one person picks a fight for everyone to watch then we can post our observations (however you want it can be round by round or whatever) after we watch. I will pick the first fight, and unless there is overwhelming opposition we will stick with whatever fight the person chooses... we can take turns in a rotation who picks the next fight. i will nominate Neil to pick the next fight if he is game... and so on, so forth.

said i would do it last night but didnt... let me look over my fights tonight and i will post a fight we all can watch and discuss

Okay with much internal debate and agonizing decisions - I wanted to pick a fight with a controversial decision... one i haven't seen in a while but had a firm belief in who won. I'll watch it again with a completely objective eye this time 'round.

    Hector Camacho vs. Edwin Rosario

this is the link i found for youtube, seems watchable... no worse than my video. watch it and discuss

Cool, good yin. Should we start a specific thread for this months fight? 'Fight of the month: Camcho-Rosario (discuss)'. How does this work?

    Cheers for the link Hitman.

    Opening round. Camacho Round
Good lateral movement from Camacho, more success landing his shots. The straight left he landed with 18 seconds left of the round was a great shot. Camacho's round for sure.

2nd Round - Edge to Camacho
Early parts of the round neither guy was having alot of success. I thought Rosario landed a couple good right hand shots, Camacho trying to use his jab but wasn't really being effective. Late in the round was a crucial factor for me as Camacho pulled off a 5 shot combo to edge it.

    3rd Round - Rosario Round
I thought Rosario was the aggressor in the round, was forcing Camacho back, having the better of the exchanges, but Camacho did have success in the round, but I give it to Rosario.

    4th Round - Edge Rosario
Camacho started the stronger in the round, forcing Rosario back against the ropes, both guys were throwing, but to me didn't land very effectively. Not much in the way of clean punches from either guy, but Rosario had 1 or 2 more eye catching shots and I give him this round.

    5th Round - A clear Rosario Round
Rosario gaining more confidence now going into the fifth, but it was Camacho who landed a good straight left forcing Rosario to hold on. Rosario lands the biggest shot of the fight not long after with a left hook that really troubled Camacho badly. Thereafter Rosario was landing at will, hurting Camacho again late in the round.

    6th Round - Even Round
Not too much action in this round. Camacho respectful now of Rosario's power, trying to establish his jab. Rosario being patient and waiting for an opening. Nothing really happened in this round. I call it an even round.

    7th Round - Camacho Round
Camacho now gaining more confidence and upping the tempo, having success landing his shots, throwing more punches than Rosario. You can still sense the danger from Rosario as he lands a few stiff right hands, but it's Camacho who was more effective.

8th Round - Edge to Camacho
Camacho again with the better exchanges early in the round, using good lateral movement again. Rosario does have some success when he backs Camacho up against the ropes, landing some good shots with 1 or 2 good uppercuts. Some good work from Rosario, but I give the edge to Camacho as he threw and landed more imo.

    9th Round - Camacho Round
Aggressive opening from both guys, throwing alot, but it's Camacho who had the better of the early exchanges with a lovely right uppercut that hurt Rosario. Camacho going after Rosario again with a flurry of shots having success and forcing Rosario against the ropes. Rosario now showing swelling under his right eye. Camacho beginning to take control of proceedings.

    10th Round - Camacho Round
Again, the better of the exchanges coming from Camacho early in the 10th round. Rosario's stalking Camacho, but not throwing anything significant. By far in the round, the better, cleaner shots are from Camacho. Another round to Camacho.

    11th Round - Rosario Round
Tough round to score. Rosario doing better, but Camacho has some success too, but nothing really was eye catching until Rosario landed a left then right hook, 50 and 47 seconds from the end of the round, hurting Camacho. Rosario's best round since the 5th round.

12th Round - Close Rosario Round
Rosario coming after Camacho now early in the round as Camacho still looks uneasy. Rosario the aggressor in the round, landing the cleaner shots. Quite a scrappy round. Camacho still able to trade with Rosario tho. Rosario's round imo.

    My verdict, 115-114 Camacho.
