He was brought through slowly by Frank Warren, surprise surprise...he's had over 30 fights to date. To be fair to Warren, i think he's done a good job with not rushing Mitchell....he's matured a lot over the last dozen fights or so.

So he spent a lot of time in meaningless fights, hence the lack of press coverage.....add to that the likes of Khan overshadowing him.

If Mitchell is to show us what he is truly made of then he'll have to step up and fight Khan even tho I don't see this fight ever happening.
Could a Mitchell v Bradley fight happen? or would that be Khan's next opponent, after of course Khan disposes of Malignaggi

Khan isn't the be-all-and-end-all...there are plenty of other guys he could prove himself against....this fight at the weekend could well highlight just how good he is or isn't.

Besides, for the time being at least, Mitchell is a lightweight and Khan is at 140

Best possible fight for Mitchell obviously of course if he beats Katsidis and I expect him to should be marquez?

Stylistically, that would be a very bad fight for Mitchell. Marquez even now, is a couple of notches above Katsidis, who himself might have seen better days.

The fight on saturday will provide a lot of answers....if he prevails, Warren will decide how to move forward based on the manner of victory. But in my mind, this is a very hard fight to call.....it may be that a week from now Warren is figuring out how to pick up the pieces as Mitchell's dreams are shattered and scattered across the Upton Park pitch.

I'm going to the Mitchell fight and if Mitchell does lose then I am going to sprint faster than Bolt outta that arena and as far away from upton park as possible to avoid any violence that would occur

Saul Alvarez vs Matthew Hatton is going to be announced on Friday with the fight taking place on March 5th at the Honda centre, California.

Has Hatton a chance at all or will he get pummelled?

Anybody catch the Watson v Crolla fight for the vacant British lightweight title on saturday night? Was Crolla's first Fight at 135.

Decent match-up. Round 6 was the highlight of the contest IMO.
Watson's defense was non-existent throughout. Crolla the better operator.
Good shot to end the fight, but Watson was completely exhausted.

Watson came into this one off the back of a beating vs Rees - [Rees was meant to be fighting Watson in a re-match, but forced to vacate the title, Crolla stepping in as a late replacement.]

Crolla v Rees is sure to happen now.
