I thought Ponce won more rounds the night of the fight.

In Your Opinion, Did Ponce "Win" More Rounds Because of what HE was Doing OR Because Broner Virtually WASN'T Doing Shit @ All???....

Broner is an annoying little plump pout, Duran just liked to fight.

    And was handsome.

Myth is what Broner is becoming.....Rios and Matthysse would violate him..

Dunno man, I honestly don't see how. What Duran did to the Cuevas fan was undeniably vulgar, and he talked a lot of shit, but I wouldn't go as far as to call either of them cunty.

I just get bad vibes from Broner, he seems like an arrogant little shit, and the weight thing was just a low move, he surely knew he wasn't going to make weight and probably decided trying to burn those last few pounds off wasn't worth it.

He acts like he's a superstar already, and my money is on him not being a very pleasant person out of the ring.

Duran is a good guy outside the ring.

Broner was afraid of getting KO'ed in that fight...or...was trying to KO him with one punch...PLUS Ponce De Leon wasn't afraid of punching with Broner. Neither would Rios or Mathysse

Very handsome. Prime Duran was a sight to behold.

I would feel honoured if Duran laced me.

Also, regarding Broner seeing as this is what the thread is about - he can fight, especially by today's standards. He's probably better than the Ponce fight indicated, but I honestly think Ponce is the best fighter he's fought, and compare that fight to all his others. Basically it's no coincidence that was his only difficult fight, and one he arguably lost.

Escobedo is nothing, and really didn't even turn up to win. Ponce turned up to win, and fought a pretty good fight.

I know Rios is a bit scrubby and just got schooled by my boy Richard, but I would not be remotely surprised if Rios beat him.

The annoying thing about Broner is he's a little shit who's beaten nobody that's acting like he's already a star. Step up, pay your dues and dominate against the best, then once you've done that you can start acting like Floyd Jr.

As for Duran, he was the real deal, the baddest of the bad ass. Comparing his alpha male "fuck you" behavior with Broner's bush league childish antics is asinine, if not sacrilegious. Duran was Duran, he could do whatever the fuck he wanted.

Yep, that's exactly what I'm talking about. I mean at least with Floyd he kind of has a right to act like an arrogant twat, seeing as he's been one of the most dominant fighters in the sport for over a decade.

But Broner is nothing really, he's an up and comer, and it's clear he is so arrogant he already thinks he's a superstar that can do whatever he wants, including coming in at whatever weight he wants etc.

I hate arrogant young fuckers like that, who think they are superstars way ahead of time.

That kind of arrogance is far, far more tolerable from proven great fighters.

I can't wait to see Broner take a beating.

exactly, I like Broner style, and I may become a fan if he starts fighting the best. But as of now, he's a manufactured star acting like he's paid his due

Duran quit in one of his biggest fights. Broner , by definition, is less of a cunt. Like Reed, Mex and Hut are two of my favorite posters, but when it comes to Duran, they have nothing meaningful to say, especially when you consider what they say about other fighters. Quitting in a fight without a significant injury is the worst thing a fighter can do other than take a dive. It is an unforgiveable sin and Duran committed it.

That's impossible to say. For example, Escobeda landed some clean shots of his own. Who's to say if he'd been weight-drained he would not have been hurt?

Escobedo wasn't winning that fight with Margarito's wraps. Not saying it wasn't a Duranesque ie cunty thing to do, but Broner was beating the shit out of Escobedo because he just plain sucks.

To Sack Slurpers like YOU he was, but in REALITY, Duran was a Guy that Tommy Hearns WIPED his Ass w/...A Guy that QUIT 1 Fight Removed from the Best Performance of his Career...A Guy who LOST to Esteban DeJesus During his So Called "Prime"...

Yeah, Yeah, U, Mex & Hut will Counter w/your Jazzercises, Clown Rings, Weight, Motivation & Whatever Other LAME ASS EXCUSES U Can Conjure Up, but Sorry, NO Fighter in the History of Boxing Could "Do Whatever the Fuck he Wanted"....

The Mere Fact that U'd GRANT Duran THAT Level of EXCLUSION from Responsibility is MORE of a Joke than your Posts Typically Are...

    Almost...

:lol:Honestly, it is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever read. Duran is a complete scumbag outside the ring. I watched this documentary where is daughter brought a guy home. The guy was legit and really liked her. His daughter isn't much to look at at either. He goes and asks permission to take her out and Duran proceeds to tell this guy how he would torture and kill him for the slightest disrespect of his daughter. He is just a shithead. Not to mention, the most overrated quitter in the sport. A cerrtain Snackbar here even had the audacity to say that it is a better reason to quit in match because one is "annoyed" rather than for a torn rotator cuff requiring surgery, only Duran fags.

I did not like Broner when I first saw him about a year ago. But he kind of grew on me. I lover fighters that have confidence and personality. Obviously some have charisma and some don't.

Lately though I noticed Broner is doing alot of stupid things and acting like he's entittled. when he has not beaten anybody good his size.

The ponce fight was at 130 and Ponce's best weight was 122 where he held a tittle.

Eloy Perez looked like he was half his size. I really would like to see him with Demarco because I think Demarco is a decent champion tha can box a little and definitely brawl.

I did not like how Broner called out Rios but asked for a catch weight. Rios should not fight any less than 140 after the year he's had.

I have a feeling we won't know how good Broner is until he reaches 140 and hopefully the talent there will still be as good as it is now.

Wow, an all-time great knocked out another all-time great who was 3 divisions north of their best weight and several years removed from their prime. That must mean the guy who got knocked out sucked, right? Oh well. Would you say there's more nobility in getting knocked out by Tommy Hearns in 2 rounds than there is in getting knocked out by Antonio Tarver in 2 rounds?

The "Duran quit" thing has been discussed ad nauseam, even his haters will acknowledge he quit because Leonard WASN'T fighting, not because Leonard was putting it on him.

And yeah, he lost to DeJesus. So what? You only liked undefeated fighters now? DeJesus was a very good lightweight, it was a non-title fight, and it was a loss Duran avenged twice over.

You hate Duran coz you're a Leonard fan and when both guys were at their respective peaks in Montreal, Duran made Leonard his bitch. Leonard "won" the rematch by negotiating an early fight date when he knew Duran was partying and would have trouble making the weight, demanded a 24x24' ring, and then spent the whole fight running shamelessly. That was the only way Leonard could beat Duran, he knew it then and you know it now. Also, it's important to note that if someone had dared to try to molest a 19 year old Duran (not that anyone would have), he would have knocked them the fuck out instead of laying back and enjoying it like that fruity sissy Leonard did.

This thread is now like 10000000000000000 times more interesting.

I do love how the Ray Leonard rematch is reported in such a fashion as to suggest that when Ray fought his own fight, Duran couldn't touch him.

    Rya Pussy.
