What movie based on a boxer would you like to see ?

Tapia's life story would have been great if there was ever any redemption, if he ever really stayed clean, overcame the demns, the addictions

as a film, it would be a depressing series of redundant crashes that would be less surprising each successive time

he's obviously an interesting character, but you have no resolution of the conflict... if he had dropped dead at 30, it ironically would make for a better movie (though obviously, a very sad movie)

 

Jack Dempsey

 

That's one I could see doing handsomely at the box office in a cinematic release. The million-dollar gates, the colour line controversy, Dempsey's huge swings between being a contemptible figure through to a hero transcending his time in the eyes of the public. Would be great.

Wonder who to cast in the role? Treat Williams played him many, many years ago in a smaller production.
